The A-Neuvideo 1x8 HDMI 4K30/1080p Extender Splitter 8 Receiversfrom A-Neuvideo 1x8 HDMI 4K30/1080p Extender Splitter 8 Receiversincludes compact receivers for each of the eight RJ45 outputs. It allows you to send a UHD 4K30 4:4:4 HDMI signal up to 131' over optional Cat 6 cables to these receivers and a 1080p60 signal up to 230'. The receivers are powered over PoC from the transmitter.

The extender also features an HDMI loop output, supports one-way IR return, and offers advanced EDID management via a dip switch. Supported audio formats include LPCM 7.1-channel, Dolby TrueHD, and DTS-HD Master Audio.

Q: 3. Can I flash/blast IR from the base transmitter to the receivers as well? I assume it goes both ways correct?

A: No, IR is not bi-directional, so the A-Neuvideo 1 x 4 HDMI 4K60/10800p Cat 6 Extender Splitter with 4 Receivers' transmitter can send IR to the receivers via the the IR blaster, but IR can not be sent the other way.

Q: 4. Would this unit have 1 IR receiver and 8 IR transmitters? The 1 IR receiver would receive the remote control signal and the 8 IR transmitters would transmit/output the repeated IR signal to each connected video display.

A: Yes, 1 receiver and 8 transmitters.

Q: 5. Are the receivers independently powered or does it use POE from the transmitter?

A: Unfortunately that is not possible. The A-Neuvideo 1x8 4K60 HDMI over Cat 6 Extender Splitter with PoE, Auto Setup & 8 x Receivers only has 1 input therefore all 8 outputs will display the same image. Q: 7. Can you tell me if the protocol remains between Tx and rx. Eg if I insert 1080i hdmi at the Tx, will it arrive at the hdmi out on the receiver end as 1080i ?

A: Yes, if you are sending a 1080i signal it should arrive at the output end as the same. That is what we are sending to our outputs and the quality on the monitors is indeed the same as we sent. I will caution you, however, if you are sending the signal 200 feet or more, be aware that you may experience occasional signal loss when powering up. We have found that if we turn the extender off and then back on it will usually pick the further outputs up after a try or two.

Q: 8. Can I use a RG45 to VGA adapter on other end instead of the HDMI receivers?

A: No, the transmitter and receivers on the A-Neuvideo 1 x 2 HDMI 4K30/1080p Cat 6 Extender Splitter with 2 Receivers are matched, and the receivers cannot be swapped for another receiver with a different output. It is possible to still have VGA output by converting the HDMI output on the receivers.

Q: 9. Do your inserter devices support ARC feature on HDMI OUT to play analog audio on BOSE Soundbar700?

A: After looking further, Unfortunately none of the HDMI Audio Inserters we have listed will support ARC.

Q: 10. Can this be used with CAT5 cables?

A: This requires a minimum of Cat5e to Cat 7 for proper transmission.

[5.225 lb] Used four of the receiving units in one of our auto programs large auto labs for a High school skills contest using. We used 100ft Pearstone Cat 6a Snagless Patch Cables (BH #PECAT6A100W MFR #CAT6-A100W) to connect the transmitter to the receivers. Images showed up as soon as we turned the system on. The hardest part of setting up was making sure the cabling was out of the way and taped down to prevent tripping hazards. 5

[5.225 lb] These splitters work very well in an industrial environment. We have 4 of them out, and one has died after about two years use. The video output is great, and I believe if we put them in a somewhat sealed environment, the splitters would probably hold up even longer. We have them right out in the harsh air, with sulfur, which is bad for electronics. 5
