This 82mm Magnetic Infrared Filter Adapter for Enhanced Photographybundle includes an 82mm magnetic infrared filter and an 82mm magnetic adapter. [0.145 lb] I had Life Pixel convert my Canon 7D body to Full-Spectrum (ultra-violet, visible, and infrared). I use this infrared filter to block out the UV and visible light. You have to do a custom white balance with the filter on the lens to identify the light source. The filter blocks the view finder, so you have to focus and compose using the Live View feature. On bright sunny days, its hard to see the LCD, so I purchased an elvid LCD Viewfinder to overcome those steps. The images still present an infrared/red color cast. My post processing was Lightroom using the -100% for saturation rather than clicking on the black-n-white. The pulling out of saturation seems to my to offer a little more infrared B/W contrast. Yes, it was worth the cost; and I would recommend it even for cameras that have not been converted. 5
