Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Will this work with a Sony receiver in the 566 MHz range?

A: The Saramonic TX-XLR9 Wireless Plug-On Transmitter (514 to 596 MHz) is not compatible with Sony Receivers. Sony receivers are only compatible with Sony transmitters.

Q: 2. Would it be possible to in any manner whatsoever to use the SLXD3 with the ULXD or QLXD wireless systems from Shure?

A: The Shure SLXD3 Digital Plug-On XLR Transmitter is unfortunately not compatible with ULXD or QLXD systems. ULXD and QLXD systems do have (limited) cross-compatibility, but SLXD systems are only compatible with SLXD components.

Q: 3. Will it peak if I plug a common condenser mic with +48v? I read the review said there is no input level adjustment so I am hesitating to get this or not to pair up with my existing saramonic a system. Thanks

A: I have used this transmitter with over a dozen microphones, dynamic and condenser, and I have not had the input overload the transmitter. In fact, our team commonly use it with condenser shotguns for commercial shoots with great results and we've even used it with a large diaphragm studio condenser mic with no issues. I think if you purchase it, you will be very happy with the sound results and the flexibility it adds. Plus, if you buy it from B&H and you don't like it, you can always return it for a full refund.

Q: 4. Can I use Sennheiser ME 4 cardioid lav mics? This kit seems almost perfect for my needs, with the exception that I need cardioid mics.

A: Yes, the Sennheiser ME 4 Cardioid Lavalier Microphone can be used with the Saramonic UwMic9 2-Person Camera-Mount Wireless Omni Lavalier Mic System.

Q: 5. Can we use this with sennheiser G3/G4 receivers ?

A: The Shure SLXD3 Digital Plug-On XLR Transmitter (H55: 514 to 558 MHz), BH # SHSLXD3H55, is not compatible with Sennheiser receivers. Consider: Sennheiser SKP 100 G4 Plug-On Transmitter for Dynamic Microphones A: (516 to 558 MHz), B&H # SESKP100G4A: Key Features: 1680 Tunable Frequencies Across 42 MHz Pilot Tone Squelch 20 Banks with 12 Channel Presets Each Compander for Clearer Sound Auto-Lock Prevents Accidental Adjustment Plugs-On to Your Handheld Dynamic Mic Use with G4 Series Wireless Receivers

Q: 6. Can it work with UWMIC9S receiver

A: No, the new Saramonic UwMic9S components are not backwards compatible with the older UwMic9 series components like the Saramonic TX-XLR9 Wireless Plug-On Transmitter.

Q: 7. How do I output two separate channels on this receiver? I see it only includes one 1/8" TRS to XLR cable.

A: The UwMic9-RX9 Dual Channel Camera Mount Receiver outputs a stereo signal which has both channels in one TRS 3.5mm cable. You can also use a stereo 3.5mm to dual XLR cable like B&H # HOHMX003Y or an equivalent 'Y' interconnect.

Q: 8. Would this work with the Shure MX412D?

A: Yes, the Shure SLXD3 Digital Plug-On XLR Transmitter is compatible with the Shure MX412D.

Q: 9. The frequency of Sony microphones is 548 - 607 MHZ. Can I use this system?

A: Although on a similar set of frequencies, the Godox TX3-XLR Plug-On Wireless Transmitter would not be compatible with Sony wireless microphone system components. Unless specified compatible, most wireless products use their own proprietary communication protocols and are not cross-compatible with other brands making similar products on similar frequency ranges. The Godox TX3-XLR Plug-On Wireless Transmitter is specified for use with the Godox WMicS1 Wireless Systems.

Q: 10. What is the locking system for the lav mics? (Godox Proprietary, Sennheiser, Sony...)

A: The Godox WMicS1 Pro Kit 2 Two-Person Camera-Mount Wireless Omni Lavalier Microphone System uses the same 3.5mm TRS locking connector and wiring configuration as Sennheiser does for its lavalier microphones..

[Plug-On] Used with a headset microphone, and also with adapter cord to a keyboard. Transmitter has adjustable gain, so it can be set to match the handheld transmitter also on the same channel. Usually get 10-15 hours per pair of alkaline AA batteries.

[0.575 lb] It paired with the Saramonic receiver right out of the box. Worked reliably on a shoot and it's well built. Navigating the menu system is pretty intuitive.

[Battery] B&H had the exact part I needed. I’ve bought many parts, including this
Shure BLX1 Wireless Bodypack, and have been extremely satisfied with them all. They have a great selection of electronics at a great price!

[Manual] Heritage Trail Association a historical site needs to record presenters both in the historic house and in the field so range and quality is important. The sound pickup, range and quality of this product was exactly what was needed. This is a major improvement for us over a high quality camera mounted microphone. In addition the ability to move allows the speakers and actors to be more comfortable. I would recommend this category of product and definitely this product specifically.

[0.575 lb] Works great. Sounds great.

In regards to the plastic pack that the other guy complained about, there's price points. If you want a metal pack buy the qlxd model. You will spend more money, go figure.

[0.575 lb] Purchased this to pair with the Saramonic UwMic9 AU RX-XLR9 Dual-Channel XLR Plug-in UHF Wireless Receiver. Both paired straight out of the box. It works really well on my Shure SM58 microphone. Tip: to reduce noise or hiss, make sure both systems are at least five metres away from each other. It’s a great product as an entry level wireless transmitter. You get what you pay for.

[Plug-On] Does what it is supposed to do. Using this with the Rode NTG-2 plugged wirelessly into a Canon 6D. The auto levels on the camera do okay but add an inconsistent buzz when subjects aren't talking. With manual levels there is little to no buzz. The audio is a little tinny, but that is do to the mic and DSLR setup. Nearly plug and play, connected to my UW-9 right out of the box.

I've used this transmitter paired with the UwMic 9-RX9 for consistently dependable location work over the past 6 months, and have zero complaints.
