Crown's XTi 1002 (B&H # CRXTI1002) is a standard stereo amp rated at 275W per channel at 8 Ohms which could also work for you. As another option, the QSC ISA300Ti Commercial Power Amplifier (B&H # QSISA300TI) is a standard amp rated at 180W per channel at 8 Ohms and also operates at 70V for a constant voltage setup.

Q: 3. What rating of power amp is recommended for a pair of these?

A: I would pair these with a power amplifier offering a minimum of 250 to 500 W into 8? per channel. An amplifier offering 1000 watts for channel would be a safer choice to allow for amplifier headroom, less distortion, and longer amplifier life over long periods of continuous use.

Q: 6. It looks like the C221 is side-ported. How much space is required between them in an LCR configuration for the ports to work as designed?

A: The Ports sum with the LF almost in place. As long as the ports are not obstructed, there shouldn’t be an issue.

Q: 7. What ceiling mounting accessories are recommended for this product?

A: According to Page 03 & 04 in the Installation Manual for the JBL CONTROL 18C/T, it comes with a C-Bracket that is compatible with most ceiling material. A tile rail can be used with tiled ceilings. There is also the JBL MTC-47MR Mud-Ring Bracket, available separately as BH #JBMTC47MR that can be used in the plaster for new ceiling constructions. [2100Hz] These speakers sound and work exactly as you would expect from a JBL speaker. Although they are a base line model, they perform great with our setup. They are paired with the same model line 18 subwoofer and EQed to remove most of the bass. However, I suspect they would sound great full range. 5

[11.8 in] I recently purchased and installed a pair of these professional grade speakers in a new, small Ethiopian Orthodox church in Sacramento for spoken word and live music. Lots of quality bass and high end. Beyond the congregation's expectations and shouldn't need to be replaced for a couple of decades. 5

[120° x 120°] They performed as well as expected, magnificently! Very much meant for the lower end of the audio spectrum with the kicks than the higher highs. All the documentation that came with it was quite helpful as well such as how to hang it. 5

[120° x 120°] I bought these speakers to replace satellite speakers that had broken cones. The sound quality is very good for the size of the speakers but the bass response is not very good as you would expect from such small speakers. I have a sub woofer connected as well and the low bass response from these speakers is not a problem. 5

[70 - 20000 Hz] If you know Tannoy - you know how good these sound. Powering them with a Sonos AMP and they look and work great. 5

[18.08 lbs] First pair were defective, but B&H immediatly took care of that. Second pair are so on the money and produce a brilliant and unexpected sound. They are being driven by an Onkyo A-5VL amp. Perfect setup for small homes, apartments and offices where you can get away with some occasional loudness :-) 5

[70 - 20000 Hz] We use these in an auditorium for dances, seminars and everything in between. Paired with 18 JBL subs, they more than fill the bill. They are PHENOMENAL. Well-built, powerful, clear sound, zero complaints. May very well buy more for another venue. 5
