The Adder 8-Port RED-PSU PRO Single Power Modulefrom Adder 8-Port RED-PSU PRO Single Power Moduleprovides your installation with the power to grow as needed. Built within a 1 RU / 19" rack mount module, the RED-PSU PRO has 8 3-pin DC power outputs, each of which delivers up to 30W at 12 VDC. It is also equipped with a single 495W power module with an IEC plug that is compatible with 90-264 VAC at 47/63 Hz. Using an integrated 10/100 Ethernet port, users will be able to control and monitor their RED-PSU PRO using a web interface, where temperature, fan speeds, and individual current measurements are displayed and each output can be individually controlled. While the main unit has an MTBF (Mean Time Between Failure) rating of 1 Million hours, the power module has an MTBF of 900,000 hours.

As your installation expands and its devices proliferate, separate adapters can become unwieldy and difficult to manage. The ADDER RED-PSU PRO provides a significant step up in terms of efficiency, reliability, and power management.

The RED-PSU PRO offers 8 separate, lockable power output ports. Each output is limited to a maximum of 30W at 12V and uses a locking connector to help guard against accidental disconnection.

Conversion from the mains AC supply to low voltage DC occurs within either one or two switched mode 495W power modules, which slot into the rear of the chassis. A single power module has an MTBF of 900,000 hours. However, in situations where redundancy is required, a second power module can be included in the second module bay. With two power modules fitted, the normal load will be intelligently balanced between them on an equal basis. If one power module should stop working, the full power load will immediately transfer to the remaining one.

Power integrity, safety, and management are core components of this system. At start up, the RED-PSU PRO enables each of the power outputs in sequence to reduce the instantaneous load on the power modules. After start up, each power output is protected by overlapping safety features that guard against excess demand by any connected device.

The RED-PSU PRO can be controlled and monitored via a web interface. Temperature, fan speeds, and individual current measurements are viewable and each output can be individually controlled. Web interface security is by HTTP digest authentication (RFC 2617) with username and password as requested information.

A REST (Representational State Transfer) API is available with all functionality to which authorized third-party control systems can interface.

Many existing Adder devices are powered from 5V supplies. An optional compact converter dongle allows 5V products to be used with the RED-PSU PRO, including the ADDERLink INFINITY range.

[1x RJ45] I bought the Edelkrone V-Mount Power Module so that I could operate a HeadPlus, FocusPro and Sony A7Siii completely on battery power. It comes with four barrel cables and has one D-Tap port for the camera. It comes with a fixed flash shoe adapter, which fits into a dummy shoe built into the HeadPlus (it is far too heavy with battery to mount on the camera directly). It also comes with a strap-on dummy shoe which fastens to a column or tripod leg, and is the better way to go. It works with any size V-Mount battery, but I purchased a nano-sized battery for a more compact installation. 5

[Distributor] I tried the wooden camera one, this, and considered (but did not buy) the mutiny. I'm glad I bought this one. It passes the battery state to the camera so it can warn you of low battery and shut itself off properly. It has all the regular port expansions and all for less than the other options. The only thing I wish it had was a passthrough 9pin port like the mutiny has. That way I could use it with my custom TC/genlock cables for komodo. The tradeoff though, was worth it. There was some scandal with this being Red Approved before being yanked off the list. As I understand it, this happened because the ctrl port wasn't working on a bunch of early models. The problem has apparently been fixed on new ones but Red has been slow to re add it after their first embarrassment. Regardless, what I mainly needed was TC, genlock, and battery status and it has performed these three functions without fail or issue. 5

[1x RJ45] If you have the JibOne, you know about how many batteries you have to deal with! This unit simplifies power management in seconds and with a power switch turns off everything at once when you're finished. 5

[30 W] Using the to power three pieces of equipment however yet to find the best spot to place or mount it on a jib arm or stand cables are long enough for most all moves until you decide to do something that is 360 then of course you are going to need individual batteries . 5

[None] The 2 prong single port adaptor with turn-on and off switch is exactly what is needed when you want an appliance plugged-in, but not wasting electricity. (i.e. Charging laptop, electric shaver, fitness equipment, and especially Wi-Fi Routers and Hubs, etc.) My only wish is that QVS could make a 3 prong (i.e. ground prong) adaptor switch. B&H was terrific with a quick delivery and turn-around time when product was first ordered! Even with a minimal shipping rate!! Very Very satisfied with B&H, and I like their products! 5
