Q: 1. Attempting to connect iphone se to Irig Pre to VXLT to Galagy GT-V Trek. Will this work. And can I take the IRIG headphone out and connect to mixer for monitoring/recording? Thanks

A: We are not aware of this working in that case.

Q: 2. Would this cable work to connect a Shure SM58 to a Tentacle Sync Track E Timecode Audio Recorder?

A: Yes, the Remote Audio CASENSK100XMC48 XLR Female to Locking 3.5mm TRS Male Adapter Cable can be used to connect a Shure SM58 Cardioid Dynamic Microphone to the Tentacle Sync TRACK E Pocket Audio Recorder.

Q: 3. Help me the set up sure sm 57 vip microphone

A: Each SM57 requires an XLR cable to connect it to your chosen output (typically either the input of a mixer or powered speaker). The end that connects to each SM57 should be XLR Female, and your mixer or speaker should have either an XLR inuput (where you can plug in an XLR Male cable termination) or 1/4" input for a 1/4" Male cable termination. In summary, you will need either two XLR F to XLR M cables or two XLR F to 1/4" M cables, depending on what you are plugging the two mics into.

Q: 4. Can I use this to connect a Rode VideoMic Pro to a Tascam DR-40

A: Yes, you can use this to adapt the 3.5mm output from the mic to the XLR input on the Tascam.

Q: 5. Will this work with the Rode VideoMic NTG?

A: Yes, it will. Keep in mind that the VideoMic NTG operates either via usb bus power or the internal battery, not phantom, so, you will use this adapter with the phantom power on the camera or recorder off, and make sure the mic has a full charge.

Q: 6. Can this adapter carry Phantom Power from an Audio Recorder?

A: No. You can convert phantom power from the recorder to mic plug-in power, using the Saramonic C-XLR+ version (BH #SACXLRPLUS).

Q: 7. Can I connect an RX from the Rode Wireless Go II to a mixer, using the RODE SC11 and 2 RODE VXLRs, so I can have a microphone on each channel?

A: You can use the Rode SC11 Right-Angle 3.5mm TRS Y-Splitter Cable and two Rode VXLR 3.5mm TRS Female to XLR Male Adapters to connect the output from the Rode Wireless GO II Receiver to the inputs on a mixer. As another option, you can use a 3.5mm TRS male to dual XLR male Y-cable like the Cable Techniques 3.5mm Right-Angle TRS to Dual Low-Profile 3-Pin XLR Male Y Cable - 15" B&H # CATGO2YX3M15), the Hosa Technology Pro Stereo Breakout Cable - 3.5mm Stereo Mini to Dual 3-Pin XLR Male - 3' (B&H # HOHMX003Y), or the Azden MX-2 - Y Cable for 200UPR & 320UPR with 1/8" (3.5mm) Mini to Dual XLR Connection (B&H # AZMX2).

Q: 8. Will this work with the Rode SmartLav+?

A: No as the smartlav+ has a TRRS connection. The VXLR is a TRS to XLR adaptor only.

Q: 9. What is the function of the DC-Blocking Capacitor?

A: The Remote Audio CASENSK100XMC48 XLR Female to Locking 3.5mm TRS Male Adapter Cable (4'), BH # RECASEK100M, contains a DC-blocking capacitor to prevent the passing of voltage that may damage the transmitter.

Q: 10. I'm assuming (since it was listed as an accessory to the Filmmaker Kit) this product will allow you to use the Lavalier included with the Filmmaker Kit as a hardwired mic via an XLR cable. If so, will this adapter allow +48V phantom power to be supplied to the Lavalier?

A: No, this does not supply phantom power.

[1.22 lb] So, honestly, I don't know if cables are really worth this kind of money. Good cables cost, but do they really cost this much? I'm not a manufacturer so I can't say. All I can say is that I wanted the best cables to minimize interference and signal loss and these fit the bill. I could have bought less expensive cables that caused disappointment and then I would be out that money, so I just went for the "best". Absolutely no disappointment and signals are very clean. I didn't needs the "stage" model, but I couldn't find the regular "Gold" in a 30-foot length. Now that I have Mogami cables connecting all of my equipment (and a wallet that has substantially less green), I have peace of mind. This brand is one that you will be very happy with if you can spend the money and not look back. Don't think about first costs or you'll cry but - later - you'll be glad that you used some of your 401k to get the best.

[Nickel] I always use Monster cable and these are the best xlrs by far. Sound quality is amazing and very tough. I still have all my prolink 500s and they still work after 15 years of use and abuse. I use them as speaker cables for DJ gigs. I got these because these are even better.

[Nickel] The Pearstone XM-2XF male to 2 XLR Female Y Cable has been a great addition to my audio bag.

Occasionally we have shoots with 1-2 more mics than our recorder will hold. I've found that this adapter helps us get that extra mic recorded. You have to be picky on which mics you use it with but this cord saved me recently when the client threw a last-minute addition to one of our shoots.

It's built well and seems like it'll hold up to extended use and bouncing around in cases.

[Nickel] I only buy mogami. High quality and light weight. Great for mobile DJ. I have two 50' two 6' , and two 20' XLR. All three combined are equal to the weight of one regular XLR and I can hear the difference in clarity. Unless it's an illusion......they are expensive but if you have great gear, and people are paying you for good sounds, I like to please my audience and please my ears!!
