Q: 1. No top padding?

A: Like the others have said, no top padding. Mine just arrived yesterday from B&H. I got it for the Canon XC15. Lots of room and I can safely put it in the case with the MA-400 Microphone Adapter attached, which is what I was wanting to do. To protect my camera, I think I might take the PB-B9 Stuff Sack that is included with the case and put soft padding material in it and put that on top of my camera when it is in the case. It fits perfectly to protect it. I'll just buy the (3) pack of BP-B9 Stuff Sacks B&H has listed, since they are handy to have for small items.Great Case though. A real quality piece that should last for many years.

Q: 2. What are the correct inside dimensions? Two of the color options say 6.5" wide, and the other two say 7.5" wide. Or, maybe the different colored ones really do have different dimensions. Please clarify.

A: This model, CAR-2CAMC, has internal dimensions of 17 x 6.5 x 9.5".

Q: 3. could it hold a Red Komodo and lens?

A: While this will mostly depend on your kit and rig, it should fit a Red Komodo with most RF-series lenses. It accommodates rigs + camera lens combos up to 16.5" x 9", and the Komodo by itself is 4" tall (length will depend on lens/rig).

Q: 9. Does anyone know if Sony FS7 will fit this bag (with or without viewfinder/mattbox/lenses on)? And how much room would there be for batteries and lenses?

A: When it comes to virtually fitting gear to cases, it is a matter of educated guess. The more precise method is to measure the gear while laid out on flat surface. That being said, with the Porta Brace Cargo Case Camera Edition you should be able to carry a disassembled FS7 and probably the batteries and lens without issue. You might also consider the Porta Brace RIG-FS7XT Camera Case and Interior Kit for Sony PXW-FS7 Camera. It is specifically designed with the FS7 in mind. It is much bigger and we know it to fit the camera assembled. While it is more expensive, it is not so much when compared to the cost of the camera and the long term convenience of working out of it for the next few years.

Q: 10. What is the difference between the all-black and black with grey accents colours? On the images, they look much the same? How do these colours compare with the CAR-3CAM Cargo Case in black which I already have?

A: The Portabrace Black CAR-2CAM case is completely black with Black interior, black handle, Black logo. The Gray model would have a Gray interior, Grey handle and Gray logo.

[Yes] Got this bag to carry around a bunch of gear. Has lots of space, easily organized with multiple pockets and is made incredibly well. Certainly not the cheapest bag out there but I doubt you can find one of better quality. 5

[Zipper] I picked up this bag as a solution for carrying the Sony FX3 with the OEM top handle and ECM-XM1 mic affixed. It's a perfect fit. A Tenba Tools Box 6 fits snugly in the main body of the bag too, for storing extra accessories, but also supporting the mic on the camera. I'm pretty happy with this combination! 5

[Zipper] Not ever having owned my own personal Porta Brace case, I ended up choosing this one. I really was looking for something on the smaller side. It was between this and the Car-1. I'm glad I went with this size instead as the added length is just enough for my wireless sound gear. I also think the orange brown + black looks nicer than the blue. You want to look stylish in front of clients.What really shines about the Porta Brace brand for me, is the experience and thought that goes into the cases. All of the pockets upon pockets are designed for practical use and its easy to rearrange your gear for each shoot. I was hesitant about the snake rolling foam wall that it comes with because I'm used to the normal flat walls that come with pelican cases. The snake works really well actually and can be folded to make precise corners and compartments. On the Con Side, it is a little bulky when fully loaded. But that's more an effect of me loading every pocket. You can tell it will swivel a lot around you if you are rushing around with the bag. But once it's on the ground it's a pleasure to have all of your gear readily available.Perfect bag for standard video work. Good for keeping in car, not so much airplane compartments, it's a tad big for that even if it might be legal size. It was worth every dollar it costs. 5

[Black] I have finally found the right case to fit my 3 Panasonic GH3s with lens attached. It also fits my wireless microphones receivers and transmitters in one of the side pockets and my 4 Zoom H1s with headphones in the other side pocket. The front zippered pouch houses my on-camera LED light in its case. It's compact, sturdy and just the right size and weight for what I needed. I still have 3 other Portabrace case from other format cameras over the years and they are all still in excellent condition. If you are looking for an inexpensive just-right case for your video gear you can't go wrong with this case. Love it!! 5

[Zipper] May it be on location photography or small-budget filmmaking, this bag is always by my side. I throw everything I own in it (lenses, filters, camera bodies, rolls of tape, film rolls). The size is perfect, I even get to sneak my 13 laptop in the front pocket. I love this bag. 5

[Black] I purchased this bag to house a variety of cameras, accessories, and gear. I wanted something that could easily be adjusted to accommodate different combinations of equipment, and this certainly does the trick. I'm glad I got the largest of the three Cargo sizes, because I've already easily filled it out.It comes with two long and two short dividers, easily moved and adjusted with velcro. And the double pockets on each end of the bag provide more storage than you would expect. You can easily fit several filters, batteries, or rolls of gaff tape for easy access. I like having a lot of separated compartments to keep things organized.And, it's Porta Brace, so the build looks and feels great.The only thing I could have used is a velcro tie to keep a camera body tied down to the bottom. I'll probably purchase a separate one. For now, I usually keep bodies and lenses in cloth wraps inside, just in case they move around during transport. 5
