Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Hey there! Does anyone know the width of the focus ring? I was wondering if it might work for a focus set up with nFD lenses which move in and out when focusing. Thanks!

A: The Tilta Seamless Focus Gear Ring (62.5 to 64.5mm) has a diameter of 62.5mm.

Q: 2. Hello! Will this fit the Tokina 11-16mm atx-i EF lens?

A: The Tilta Seamless Focus Gear Ring (72 to 74mm) BH #TITAFGR7274. will fit the Tokina atx-i 11-16mm f/2.8 CF Lens.

Q: 3. What size ring is good for sigma 18-35

A: The Tilta Seamless Focus Gear Ring (53 to 55mm) would not fit the Sigma 18-35mm f/1.8 DC HSM Art Lens. We recommend using the Tilta Seamless Focus Gear Ring (72 to 74mm) with the Sigma 18-35mm f/1.8 DC HSM Art Lens.

Q: 4. I'm looking for a seemless focus gear ring compatible with the zoom ring for the Tamron 70 - 200 F2.8 G2 lens for Canon Cameras?

A: The lens that you are working with has not been tested for size. Please use the ruler below to measure the size of your unlisted lens model when using Tilta or Smallrig Seamless Focus Gear Rings. RULER: https://bit.ly/4317M0x

Q: 5. Will this gear fit the FOCUS RING on Zeiss Milvus 18mm f2.8?

A: Yes, the Tilta Seamless Focus Gear Ring (69 to 71mm) is the appropriate gear ring for the Zeiss Milvus 18mm f2.8 lens.

Q: 6. Is there some place I can find what sizes lenses are? I'm looking for 70-200mm f/2.8 GM II Sony gears (mostly the zoom).

A: The following ruler will allow you to measure your lens for proper Smallrig seamless gear fitting. https://bhpho.to/3QsFlEO

Q: 7. Hello! Which gear ring would I need for a Canon 50mm f/1.4

A: If this is the lens you own. . . Canon EF 50mm f/1.4 USM Lens (B&H# CA5014EF) https://bhpho.to/3yTPlNz . . . then since the manufacturer lists it as being 73.8mm in diameter, many people would first try this option: Tilta Seamless Focus Gear Ring (72 to 74mm) (B&H# TITAFGR7274) https://bhpho.to/3Jk1ct8 Since preferences regarding fit can vary, however, with the Tilta Seamless Focus Gear Ring (75 to 77mm) (B&H# TITAFGR7577) or with any similar focus gear ring, you may prefer one that is slightly larger or smaller, which is why you'll want to rely on your preferences and experience using this type of stretchable ring. Given the low price, many people buy a set rather than just an individual ring so that they can be sure they have a ring that meets their needs and preferences on hand at all times.

Q: 8. What is the correct size for the Sigma Art 50-100mm f/1.8 Lens EF focus ring?

A: Unfortunately Tilta does not list the Sigma Art 50-100mm lens as a compatible lens with these focus rings. However a universal ring will work with this lens, such as the Tilta DSLR Lens Follow Focus Adapter: https://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/1442786-REG/tilta_fr_t03_photographic_lens_follow_focus.html https://tilta.com/support/what-size-rings-are-compatible-with-sigma-lenses/

Q: 9. How come only one Nikon lens? I need a gear for the Nikon AF-S Nikkor 50mm 1.8 G

A: This works with any lens that has a outer diameter between 72 to 74mm. The Nikon AF-S NIKKOR 50mm f/1.8G Lens is 72.1mm. It will work just fine with BH #NI5018GAF.

Q: 10. What size diameter for the sony 70-200 2.8 zoom ring? I got two, only one fits for the focus

A: The Sony 70-200 F2.8 lens has not been tested by Tilta. Please use this link for help with measuring your lens model. https://bit.ly/3LQFqNQ

[0.8 MOD] If you're looking to add some 0.8 pitch focus gear teeth to your Sirui 24mm f/2.8 Anamorphic 1.33x lens – this is the perfect solution. Slips on nice and snug to the focus ring! I'm curious to see how well this focus gear ring performs over time – will it loosen up or stay just as tight and snug as when I first installed it? Only time will tell. At two bucks, you just can't go wrong. B&H should list this under the Recommended Accessories for the Sirui 24mm anamorphic lens.

[62.5 to 64.5 mm] It fits my EF lenses for the Komodo and work perfectly with my Tilta Nucleus wireless follow focus and Mini Follow Focus gears!

If the front diameter is too big, slides the gear ring from the back of the lens.

[62.5 to 64.5 mm] I wanted to gear up a few of my photo lenses and these were the perfect fit. And the price is well done too, they almost seems like a gift from Tilta to their loyal customers

[0.05 lb] Just measure your lens diameter using Tilta's technique posted on their website, or use their chart for most common lenses and you have a perfect fitting gear for all your lenses for just a song! If they were any less expensive they would be free! I have installed them for both zoom and focus on 18-34 Sigma, 24-105 Canon and lumix 12-35. Also for focus on classic Nikon AI-s primes, and more!! Just buy them already.

[62.5 to 64.5 mm] ..them all!
It's true, I bought them all, original purchase was four of them, and after seeing them and acknowledging the quality of manufacture and design, materials etc., I was impressed to buy multiples of many and singles of each size.
The theory is, that you can split them and make two rings, however, B&H's insistence on charging a mere two bucks a piece, I was 'forced' into it making such a capricious purchase!
I hope it's not a promotion or deal, because everyone should atleast experience how nice it is to manually focus a lens with one of these even if you'll never actually use a motor with it. (Gloves)

[Rubber] Once you get past the hurdle of measuring your lens diameter, finding the corresponding gear ring and sliding that sucker in is as satisfying as sliding some other sucker if you get what im sayin

[0.05 lb] I mean, it's easily the least expensive option and it works as intended. I have a bunch of them.
