Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Would a Sachtler FsB-8 Head work on this? Manually screwing in the head into the 3/8s screw?

A: The Sachtler 0707 FSB-8 Fluid Head would be compatible with the iFootage Gazelle TC7 Fastbowl Carbon Fiber Tripod but you would still need to use the base mount from the Sachtler 0707 FSB-8 Fluid Head to secure the head to the legs, the included half ball adapter would not be the ideal way to mount the head to the legs as it would take up the space of the bowl.

Q: 2. Are the tripod feet removable? How does one remove them?

A: The tripod feet are removable. Simply unscrew the feet from the legs.

Q: 3. I own the monopod Manfrotto 561BHDV-1 and I would like to use its video head (flat base - not panning by itself) to mount on the tripod iFootage Gazelle TC7. Will it be possible and will i be able to pan as result?

Q: 7. Can anyone confirm that this doesn't come with a bag? Ifootage usually includes their own bag for tripods and monopods that includes extra space for attached video heads. Maybe this isn't listed in "what's in the box?". Can B&H confirm? Thanks!

[3/8"-16 Male] I initially discovered this tripod thanks to Thomas Heaton on YouTube.

This tripod is everything I need and more for my armature landscape photography. I'd highly recommend it, it's a versatile tripod.

[10.4 lb] The Gazelle Fastbowl Tripod is a reasonably priced product that is built well and easy to use. It should last for quite a while. Also, it is very stable, is easily adjustable, and has a low weight compared to similar
products.

[3/8"-16 Male] Was looking for minimal weight but still sturdy. Impressed w/ the general quality and smooth leg locks, being used to twist locks on a heavy Gitzo Studex. The best part for me is the weight - including a Leofoto VH-30RN pan/tilt head, totals 5 lb. 1.2 oz.

[Spiked] I recently purchased the Ifootage TC7 Tripod along with two other items. I am grateful for the ease of doing that. I am pleased with the TC7 Tripod. It’s light weight, quick leveling, and sturdiness. It certainly is standing up to its Alaska outdoor experiences.

[Spiked] First, for anyone curious on the difference between the T7 and T7S, the S has the updated quick release ball head from the Gazelle line. The quality is what I've come to expect from iFootage, rock solid construction. My only complaint is the design of the spreader bar, since it's pretty flimsy, and thin plastic, where everything else is aluminum and carbon fiber.

I paired mine with the K7 fluid head, and couldn't be happier.

[10.4 lb] I wrote a previous review, which stands, but I want to add one small addition, which I have found makes the tripod even better. Being a bowl design, if you mount a ball head on top of the base, it will of course be unable to be raised to clear any obstrucitons, which are generally found it you switch to portrait orientation (unless you use a L-bracket). If, like me, you like to keep ultra light, and use a small, short ballead (in my case manfrotto compact) then the camera mounting foot and possibly even the camera, will actually be obstructed by the legs but most likely the larger/wider base of the bowl itself. You can solve this almost completely with a larger, taller and heaver ballhead, but if you are RC2 plate design, the relase trigger may still interfere slightly, especially in 90 degree vertical. To solve this, you could purchase an extension tube, but I believe the best option is the
Acratech 1045 Tripod Head Riser 1 inch version. Or the heavier 2 version. This looks great, is light, and will give just the clearance needed, and keep the tripod very stable. One reason I brought this tripod is it is well know the non-centre column tripods like this are the most vibration free, so adding only 1 more to the 'column height' keeps the design vibration free. A great tripod, that I always enjoy in the field.

[Carbon Fiber] This tripod seems to be well built, and is quick to operate. It is a little heavy, but hopefully that translates to strength. I have gone through many tripods, Monfrotto, Peak Design, etc. All have broken on me, though as a landscape photographer I am rough on tripods. We will see how this holds up.

[Carbon Fiber] Bought this last month for an overseas gig. I wanted a tripod that would fit in my check-in luggage (with the padded foam bag) and also would be sturdy enough to support my A7SIII with cage, monitor, mic etc.I also have a Sachtler Ace M. I use the Sachtler head or the Manfrotto MV-500AH head with this tripod. It sets up pretty fast, light enough to carry around without getting tired and most importantly sturdy enough for my rig. This is becoming my favorite tripod yet.

[36 x 6.5 x 6.5"] Tall enough, light enough, very sturdy, and I love the bowl quick release that allows me to easily switch between my favorite video head and my photography geared head. I only wish I didn't wait so long to buy this.

[3] Occassionally we buy things for a particular job that just clicks all the right boxes. This tripod does that in spades. No more slow tightening knobs to turn (usually 3 or 4 per leg). The iFootage offers some very well made clamps (only 2 per leg), making this a fast tripod to setup. When the clamps are released to lower the legs, they drop with a perfect tension on their own (on my copy). Setup is as easy as you will find in any tripod. Immediately seeing this tripod, you will know everything is made using top quality parts. The height is perfect, even without the use of a middle pole extension. I am 5'11 and the tripod with ballhead and camera sit above my head. Though if you are someone who likes a tripod that goes a foot or two above your head (depending on your height), you could also look at the Gazelle TC9. The tolerance on all of the clamps and extensions are just top notch. Don't change a thing with this one iFootage.
