Monitor your space or set up a web broadcast with the white Axis V5938 UHD 4K PTZ Network Camera - Whitefrom Axis Communications. This unit uses a 1/2.5" RGB CMOS sensor to capture up to UHD 4K 3840 x 2160p30 or HD 1920 x 1080p60 resolution. It features HDMI and 3G-SDI outputs, two balanced 3-pin XLR audio inputs with +48V phantom power, a 3.5mm audio input, and a 3.5mm audio output.

The built-in 4.4 to 88.4mm varifocal lens delivers a 20x optical zoom and a 12x digital zoom for a 70.2 to 4.1° horizontal field of view, and it can store up to 256 presets. The camera features ±170° panning, a -20 to 90° tilt range, and it is compatible with remote VISCA serial controllers as well as IP controllers using VISCA over IP, making it easy to integrate with your existing AV installations. The RJ45 LAN output allows you to output MP4 H.265/H.264 video for streaming or recording, and it also features a built-in microSDXC slot to record your video stream. A 3-month Camstreamer trial is included so you can stream directly to popular video streaming websites such as Facebook or YouTube.

The camera also includes numerous image settings such as saturation, brightness, noise reduction, day/night, exposure, backlight, defogging, and more. Its built-in optical image stabilization ensures that any micro-vibrations are kept to a minimum for smooth, steady footage. It features a secure boot feature that keeps your camera secure when on a network. The camera is powered using the included power adapter.

Q: 3. I see that the camera uses rs-422 protocol for joystick control. One of the main issues with Panasonic cameras is their joysticks requires two hands to use. The Sony joysticks are far superior because they only require one hand which allows you contol ptz with one hand and switch with your other hand. Will a Sony joystick like the rm-br300 control this cam? Not sure if all rs-422 functions/pinout assignments are the same between competing companies.

[Yes] If you've never worked with Axis cameras, this one will blow your mind! I can see a ladder in the bushes at 2800ft. I can see a tree outlined perfectly on the horizon at over 6 miles! The night vision is incredible, like nothing I've ever seen in any home system. PTZ movement is accurate and fast... just click where you want it to move to and it centers on that point instantly. This is a next level camera. What can you expect from the company that invented the IP camera system? No subscription, the Companion app is free and easy to use. Network setup was simple and when I placed it on another network, I did not lose connectivity or have to change a thing. It comes with quite a few free Axis apps for different uses. Easy enough to understand by simply exploring the software. I felt good about spending my clients money at B&H. My suppliers are a direct reflection of me and my company and I'm glad to have them in my corner. This camera is phase 1 of an ambitious project that will involve funding from state and federal agencies, so it was VERY important that this went smooth... and it did. Thank you B&H and buckle up because when we receive approval, you'll be loading trucks full of product! 5

[f/2 to 3.8] Installed this in my ranch in Mexico to get a clear view of what's going on when we are not there (living in the US). It's something incomprehensible how we can just wake our phone, open the Lorex Cloud app, and view, pan, tilt, zoom, to view a precise 25x optical zoom, IN 4K!!!, from a very very far image CLEARLY. Cannot wait to afford another one to place on another side of my ranch. 5

[256] We are a developer of command and control software and often buy various brands of IP cameras to test with our software suite. This camera was an addition late last year and we've actually deployed it on our property (mostly for testing). We cannot say enough about Axis products... this camera works as advertised and was easily integrated into our software. It is ONVIF compliant and provides crystal clear video. We are located in Florida and rarely use the defogging feature, but we would love to have self cleaning optics (a feature starting to appear on high end IP cameras) since the camera is located nearly 30 feet in the air making it difficult to clean... but that is the only thing we had in the wish it had it column. Overall a highly versatile and functional PTZ IP camera... we highly recommend this one! 5
