The dark blue Bushnell 8x42 H2O Porro Prism Binoculars Dark Blueare ideal for mid- to long-range glassing, especially on the water, where you need to be able to clearly see buoys and navigational markers. This combination of magnification and objective lens size produces a wide exit pupil and long eye relief that, when combined with the generous field of view, helps to reduce the disorientation that is common when looking through binoculars on rough water or rolling seas.

They are outfitted with traditional Porro prisms that allow you to more easily discern the relative distances between two objects in your view and anti-reflection multicoatings that maximize light transmission to deliver bright, sharp, and clear high-contrast views with accurate color rendition and crisp resolution across the wide field of view. To withstand the harsh conditions associated with salt water environments, the chassis is made of corrosion-resistant aluminum and the optical tubes are nitrogen-filled to resist internal fogging and O-ring sealed to an IPX7 waterproof rating.

Q: 8. Hi, I want to know that in the description AAoV is mentioned 65.4 degrees but in the specs, it is 8.2 degrees. It is correct or different?

A: It's simply the different values produced by the calculation for apparent field of view and those for calculation of the actual field of view. Sincerely, Garrett at Celestron

Q: 9. Difference between Bushnell 8x 42 WP Legacy and Bushnell 8x42 H20 Porro binocular?

A: The Legacy's are just slightly better quality. The coatings are better on the model, also the construction is more durable. I personally would recommend the Legacy's, also because they are better in low light settings. The Legacy's have a 8.2 Angle of View verses these H20 Porro's only have a 7.8 degree Angle of View. Overall the Legacy is a better binocular. It's a higher series.

Q: 10. what is the difference between Bushnell Legacy WP and Bushnell H20Porro binoculars?

A: I asked the same when I was ordering the 8x42 binoculars to donate to the Environmental Education program a the Cloud Forest School in Monteverde Costa Rica. I ended up with the Legacy WP's . Although they seemed well made, they were too large, too heavy, and too hard to focus...not only to be used with K-11 students but also for me. B+H Photo was excellent about processing the return. I purchased the 8x25 compact H2O binocs instead.Just returned from delivering them to the Cloud Forest School where they are already being used with ease.

[2.76 lb] These Bushnell binoculars are waterproof and fogproof. I got them as a gift for someone who hunts duck and geese. He seemed very pleased with them and used them the next morning. They arrived from bhphoto in two days!

[42 mm] Got it for my daughter with a house at Jersey shore. Her 10 year old son learned to use it and got a big thrill when he watched an osprey dive, catch a fish and carry it away in its talons. They would each give the binoculars 5 stars.

[18 mm] I ordered these from B&H in mid-March and am totally please with them. The 8x is great for most folks and are about the limit for steady holding, at least for me. The rubber cover is terrific for all weather grip and the O ring seals should keep them water proof when I am out in the weather. The focus is a bit stiff but I attribute this to the O ring seals. They focus to about 18’ which make them OK for birding, but is you need closer focus the Bushnell Legacy series is also great, and yes I also have the Bushnell Legacys. The Bushnell 30% back March rebates make these Bushnells a can’t miss value.

[Porro (BAK4)] Bought these for casual birding. Good optics at a great price (though still waiting on a $ rebate). Little on the heavier side, but the water and fog proofing make up for that, in addition to the generous eye relief. At this price, porro is almost always a safer bet than roof (no phase correction until you go well above $+).

[42 mm] This was purchased as a gift for my father to take on his many fishing expeditions. The waterproofing, quality construction and rugged design were everything he was looking for in a pair of Binoculars. The large size was also a plus. To quote my dad They are big enough to fit even my head I can't speak to the under-water resistance and floatation capability of these Binoculars as they have thankfully avoided testing by accidental lake immersion (thus far). The only caveat I would have is that the rubber is all black making it nearly impossible to locate should it be dropped in water. A bright orange or other highly visible 'safety' color finish would make them stand out better if they did.

[42 mm] Great Binoculars. I used it for the first time to look at boats and Rottenest Island across Cottesloe Beach in Perth WA and I am very pleased with the product. It's very clear. Definitely recommend the product. I have experienced the best service and best price from B&H. Received the product within 10 days of purchased. Definitely will shop at B&H again.

[5.25 mm] Replaced a similar Bushnell model I had dropped and damaged. Clarity and focus are excellent. I have trouble with other styles being too narrow to fit my eyes. These are just right.
