A: No, all three items (handheld microphone transmitter, wireless plug-in receiver with built-in 1/4" jack, and wireless headphone receiver with headphones) do not need to be used at the same time. If you just want to hear yourself through headphones, you can use the handheld microphone transmitter with the wireless headphone receiver as a monitoring system. The plug-in receiver with the built-in 1/4" jack is only needed if you want to connect the mic to a sound system (audio mixer or amplifier for performance or to connect it to an audio recorder).
