Add rods to your Blackmagic Pocket Cinema Camera 6K Pro and 6K G2 cameras when using the Tilta Half Cage with the extended bottom plate for the Blackmagic Design battery grip, with this black 15mm Rod Holder from Tilta. This rod holder enables you to use cinema-style accessories with your camera, battery grip, half cage setup (cage, extended bottom plate, and battery grip not included), which otherwise would not be possible, as the battery grip would raise the camera too far above the correct lens center-to-rod distance when using standard baseplate rod clamps.

This holder/clamp supports the 15mm LWS standard for rod supports, and it mounts on your cage via the extended bottom plate. The mounting screw attaches the rod holder to the cage, and the two locking pins on the holder interface with the divots on the cage to secure the holder to prevent shifting during use. The rod clamp locking lever is set underneath so that it's out of the way.

[3.8 x 2.75 x 1"] Great product. Definitely worth the extra price over alternatives. You can tell a lot of thought went into the design of this thing. Everything is precisely engineered, and well considered. The lower quick dovetail on the bottom is super useful if you've got a tripod plate. Just screw it onto the quick dovetail and you can swiftly mount and unmount your camera from your tripod head. Also, unlike some universal alternatives, this baseplate is the right height, so matte boxes and accessories will line up with the lens center properly. (I believe the tilta baseplate is also like this.) 5

[3 oz / 86 g] I have been using this cage for a few months now, and so far I love it. The top handle is very sturdy. The cage is well thought out in terms of placement of the opens for buttons and cables. The HDMI locking bracket is also well thought out and easy to remove if needed. The solid aluminum construction is very durable and provided ample protection and mounting possibilities. The base plate that holds the rods is also very useful as it provides a place for a speed booster mount. The two included aluminum rods are also high quality. 5
