A: There is a knockout on the botom as well as the back of this gang box.

Q: 4. I recently bought the rapid box and the reflector plate. I'm a little confused regarding the setup though. The picture on the B&H website has the reflector plate with the inside facing the flash while the Westcott website has it set up with the inside facing away from the flash (unfortunately I already removed the sticker on the reflector plate. Can anyone please help clarify? Thank you in advance!

A: This is directly from Westcott: What does the deflector plate do? The deflector plate will create a beauty dish effect. The lighting will still be very soft on your subjects face, however the shadows will show a bit more contrast. Which way does the Deflector Plate go? The difference is minimal whether you place the deflector plate with the textured side in or out. We recommend to put the deflector plate on with the textured side facing out so your flash doesnt have to work as hard. You will notice harder shadows no matter which way the deflector plate faces.

Q: 5. Is this product suitable for a mix of low voltage and high voltage application?

A: Yes it is.

Q: 6. Will an SB-700 or any average speed light be powerful enough to use this rapid box as a daylight outdoor fill lighting system?

Q: 8. Is it the same deflector plate regardless of size of the Rapid Box?

A: The 20 and 26 speedlight Rapid boxes use the smaller 2030DP while the 36 and 48 studio versions of the Rapid box suggest the larger 2040DP. The speedlight Duo version could use either, though I prefer the larger 2040DP for this model.

Q: 9. Without the bolt, what's the diameter of the hole in te middle? Would it fit in a 8mm shaft?

A: The center of the plate is a touch smaller than 8mm. And the plate is not designed to work with the softbox without the screw and bolt.

Q: 10. What size bolt is that?

A: I'm not sure what you call the bolt but the center rod adapter which accepts a screw to attach the beauty dish disc to the rapid Box is approx. 1 1/16 long including the threads, approx. 15/32 dim., approx. 11/16 non thread portion. The screw is approx. 3/16 dim. The center rod adapter and screw seem to be for Westcott devices only.
