The Sony FX9 Gold Mount Battery Adapter Plate - bebob Amicrofrom Sony FX9 Gold Mount Battery Adapter Plate - bebob Amicrooffers a lightweight, high-capacity battery solution that mounts a single Amicro Gold mount battery with multiple outputs to simultaneously power your Sony PXW-FX9 cinema camera as well as a variety of accessories mounted on your camera rig. The durable plate features two unregulated 12 VDC D-Tap outputs, one 12 VDC 2-pin LEMO-type output, one 5 VDC USB Type-A output, and a 19.5 VDC barrel output on the end of a short cable to power the camera.

The two D-Tap outputs are "twist" plugs that allow you to plug your D-Tap connector in either direction. The plate also features a 4-pin XLR input to power the plate from an alternate source, and it allows hot-swap capability with either mains power or the camera's BP-U battery. The plate mounts onto the back of the camera using its integrated top plate and captive screws.

A: No, the D-tap port is the DC port in which power is being drawn into. The only way would be to connect the D-tap charger directly to the battery and use the other battery to power a compatible device.

A: The Bebob Vmicro V-Mount Battery Adapter Plate for RED KOMODO, uses the 2 pin Lemo connection to the RED Komodo. It does not use the 9-pin connection, and as such, the RED Komodo Expander, could still be attached to the camera for timecode functionality.

[1] This is a well designed battery plate that does what it needs to do. The extra mounting points on the top are a nice touch. Adding two P-Tap outputs also gives the FX9 much needed functionality. The fit and finish is very solid and even with a heavy 160wH battery attached I get no wiggle at the mounting point. As noted by others the failure of the camera to read the voltage is a major disappointment but this is a Sony issue in my opinion and Core has done a great job with the 19v input situation given by Sony. 5

[1.215 lb] An external battery mount is practically essential for most FX9 builds, and this design is something Sony should've made. The extension unit is bulky - fine if you need all the other features, but overkill if you want to have p-tap and a bigger battery. Love how you can use the small OEM battery that comes with the camera along with this plate. Super easy to hot swap batteries. Like the other reviewer said, get the thumb screws!! The Allen key screws are annoying when you need to remove the OEM battery. Really should've been included at this price, but I'm not knocking a star for it. Time will tell how well it holds up, but so far, love it. 5

[1.215 lb] I bought this v-mount plate in part because of price and frankly was a bit worried that it didn't have the multiple points of contact like some of the other more expensive plates for sale. I shouldn't have worried. It's built incredibly solid, and the swing away is great to be able to have a second battery loaded into the camera just for peace of mind when filming. 5

[1.215 lb] The Core SWX Battery Plate fits the Sony FX9 like a glove. Fits tight with no play and regulates the voltage from the battery to the proper requirements of the camera, and the power light is located on the proper, operator side allowing you to quickly notice when your battery is nearing its end of a charge by turning from green, to a flashing red. This unit also fits with the camera factory battery attached allowing you to hot-swap to a new gold mount battery without having to shut down the camera operation. I bought the Camvate M4 9mm thumb screws to attach the plate to the camera. This allows a quick, tool-free means of removing the plate to access the camera oem battery. The extended length of the plate combined with a gold mount battery helps to comfortably balance the camera on your shoulder when shooting hand-held. The plate is also attached at a proper height to allow the camera with a gold mount battery to sit flat on the ground. This is a high quality product that I can fully recommend. 5
