Q: 1. Is there a QD socket on this plate?

A: Unfortunately, the 3 Legged Thing Roxie-G L-Bracket for Canon EOS R5 and R6 (Metallic Slate Gray) does not have a built-in QD Quick Disconnect Steel System Port on the L-bracket. However, if you wish to use a strap that uses the QD Quick Disconnect System, the Kirk 1" Quick Release Clamp with QD Socket, B&H # KIQRC1QD, may connect to the Arca-type dovetail grooves on the L-bracket listed above.

Q: 2. Does this L Bracket work if I have the battery grip adatper for my R6?

A: The Sunwayfoto Custom L-Bracket for Canon EOS R5 & R6 will not fit a camera plus the grip. Currently we do not have any L brackets that will fit the Canon R6 Plus the battery grip.

Q: 3. I have a Canon R5 and want to know if this L bracket is compatible with VEO BH-50?

A: The 3 Legged Thing Roxie-B L-Bracket for Canon EOS R5 and R6 (Darkness Series Limited Edition Matte Black) is compatible with the Vanguard VEO 2 BH-50 Ball Head. Both are Arca-Swiss style.

Q: 4. would I be able to add the Peak Design PL-S-3 Standard Plate to the bottom this l-bracket?

A: Yes, the bottom of the 3 Legged Thing Roxie-B L-Bracket for Canon EOS R5 and R6 does have a 1/4" screw opening like a camera has, so you can screw a plate there.

Q: 5. Will this L bracket work with the Geekoto AT24 Pro Dreamer tripod?

A: The 3 Legged Thing Roxie-C L-Bracket for Canon EOS R5 and R6 (Copper) has an Arca-type plate which makes it compatible with the GEEKOTO AT24Pro Dreamer 77" Aluminum Tripod.

Q: 6. Will this fit the Canon EOS R?

A: While the Roxie-C will not fit the Canon EOS R, the 3 Legged Thing Ellie-PD Universal L-Bracket with Peak Design Capture-Compatible Base (Metallic Slate/Gray), BH # 3LELLIEPDG https://bhpho.to/3yxo6qB

Q: 7. Is this compatible with the R5 mark II?

Q: 8. What are the two wrenches and the washers used for? Secondly, when used in the portrait [vertical] mode on a ball head, is there any problem with clearance or is that when you have to use a wrench to move the plate away from the camera?

A: The washers are provided to allow for prevent any further spillage on the screw mount. There would no issue with clearance when using the camera in portrait (vertical) position.

Q: 9. Would this fit a RRS ball head mount?

A: Yes. As the Desmond Custom L-Bracket for Canon EOS R5 & R6 has Arca-type compatible dovetail mounts on both the bottom and upright risers, and as Really Right Stuff ball heads use quick release clamps that are Arca-compatible, the Desmond Custom L-Bracket may be used with Really Right Stuff ball heads.

Q: 10. Doe the flip screen on the R6 really work the way it is intended to work with the L bracket!?

[0.335 lb] This is the best L-bracket for a five series camera I've owned (out of 4). It is light and solid. The green color is a nice touch too.

This bracket allows for almost full functionality. Yes, it limits the tilty-flippy screen a little. I don't do video, so I can't speak to how big of a deal this is. However, I use the screen to take photos in high and low positions, and the bracket causes me no trouble. The only limitation is when fully out, to rotate the screen from pointing up to down, you have to retract the screen to a 90 degree position. No big deal.

A very nice plus I'd hire much lighter and leaner this bracket is. It's not bulky at all and the weight savings is noticeable.

I tried the pro-media gear bracket and didn't like it. It was way too big and heavy. The design made it difficult to use manual controls on the lens. The unrestricted use of the screen was not worth it. I don't use many of the ports, but the 3 Legged Thing did not obstruct them from my perspective.

Totally worth the purchase!

[5 x 4.4 x 2.1"] My old L bracket for my 5DMIII didn't work and had to get new one that allowed for access to side ports and this one also doesn't move like the more expensive one I had on former camera - love it lots!!

[0.335 lb] Haven't used it to mount to the tripod yet. Currently use it as a bumper on my R5 and pseudo tripod. Lets you get the camera touching the ground without the camera itself touching the ground. Has a surface area to brace on a wall for a slower shutter speed. It's very light no difference when I walk around with my R5 and RF 70-200 2.8.

[5 x 4.4 x 2.1"] If you use a tripod and switch between landscape and portrait shots, then this device will save you time! So easy, so fast. The other day I used it and I just kept smiling at its ease of use. Also, no more grand balancing acts while shooting portrait mode and no more need to adjust your shot in between shots. I was always worried my gear would tip over before, but this one device solves both problems. Lastly, it's super light and low profile so you can just leave it on your camera.

[0.335 lb] Works as promised. I'm using it with a Dam Useful copy rail, and it aligns square and tight. No problem plugging in the tether cable.

[Yes] I'm extremely satisfied with this l-bracket. I've owned a bracket since I had my 5D Mark II and this has been the best.

First, it's the lightest. L-brackets add a lot of bulk to your camera already; it's nice of they don't add weight. Maybe the weight of one doesn't seem like much, but it depends on what you're carrying. I appreciate and noticed the weight reduction immediately.

Second, it's well milled. Of all the ones I've owned, this one seems to be milled to tightest specifications. One bracket didn't quite fit to Arca-Swiss specifications on one side. The finish is also very nice. L-brackets for these cameras are not cheap; this is easily the nicest I've owned.

So, let's talk tilty-flippy screen. Yes, it gets in the way of some movement. I'm a stills shooter, so not a huge issue for me. Still, I'd say roughly 90% of positions are still achievable. When out all the way, to go from facing up to down you have to retract the screen some, rotate orientation, and then fully articulate the screen out again. I think if you did this often. It would become second nature and wouldn't even notice.

I also owned a ProMediaGear l-bracket. It allowed unrestricted screen movement, but at the cost of size, weight, and quality. That bracket was bulky. Maybe if I did video all the time, I wouldn't notice? I walk around and take stills, often with manual lenses. The design of that bracket impedes accessing controls on lenses. Especially problematic if you're wearing gloves.

I highly recommend this product. My estimation is it is probably the most functional and polished of all those available.

[Arca-Type] Works great with my R5 no issues with the screen.

[Arca-Type] Bought for the Canon EOS R6. Perfect fit on the camera. Didn't have to sacrifice the use of my flip screen on the back of the camera. It's very sleek and lightweight. No issues shooting handheld either. If you shoot on a tripod and like vertical orientation shots even a little bit, it's totally worth it

[Aluminum] Nice and light L-Bracket with a good price. Fits my Canon R5 camera almost perfectly. To small issues, first the display screen can not extend back as far as I would like for some shooting, but that is easy to work around anyway. And Second when going vertical, on my Sirui tripod you have to be careful when clamping down. You need to slide the bracket just in the right spot for the clamp to hold securely. Just takes a second extra to be sure it is correct and secured properly.
