[Manual Focus] Very nice lens for machine vision.

[C] I use this camera with a Point Grey Research Flea3 for LOLA video conferencing. It's very sharp and wide enough for most uses.

[Manual Focus] I use a 25mm f/1.4 lens in fixed geometry at an image-object distance of 350mm. With a 2/3 industrial CCD, the Fujinon CF25HA-1 gives a slightly sharper 100x80mm image with less darkening at the corners compared to the much smaller and cheaper Fujinon HF25HA-1B under the exact same conditions. The latter only has the advantage when size, weight or cost are important.

[50mm] The Fujinon CF series lenses provide low distortion, accurate images on camera sensors up to 1 and are relatively inexpensive. The CF12.5HA-1 is physically large compared to the body size of most modern machine vision cameras, but the barrel distortion is noticeably less than most compact lenses can deliver. This lens works perfectly with both 1:1.2 sensors and 1 sensors. I've even used it on 5MP industrial cameras and it punches well above its weight given that it's only rated for use on 1.5MP sensors.

[50mm] This lens is both sharp and lets in a tonne of light! It has character, reminding me of older vintage lenses, which serves to create a more filmic look than modern photolenses can provide.
Solid construction, i'm picking up the full set.

[f/2.8 to 16] B&H delivered this product to Ireland on time. We use this lens for high speed capture up to 5000 fps, the F stop range (1.4 to 22) allows a lot of light to get to the 1 sensor, which is critical for high frame rates. I found the quality of the optics on this lens excellent for the low price. It's a sturdy construction and the lockable focus and aperture are very useful. The 100 mm MOD suited our application to allow us to get close to the subject. The viewing angle suited our application subject size of approx. 15 mm x 15 mm. If a larger subject is required the lens was able to cope by simply moving further away from the subject or use lens extension adaptors tubes. Overall very happy with this lens.

[C] We have been using Fuji CFxxZA-1S, where xx = 8mm, 16mm, 25mm for a while now. Recently bought the 25mm EFL lens from B&H, who are great!

One comment, the 25mm lens, while to the design, behaves with a slightly shorter EFL. So, I recommend looking at this document when designing: CF-ZA Series: FUJINON Lens Shooting Range Chart.pdf.

The CFxxZA lenses provide excellent brightness uniformity across the field. The 25mm lens provided near full intensity at the edge field. (We know this because we were at 85%, better than the illumination source spec.)


Like the 8mm (a challenging design), we can flat-field and distortion correct the imaging system with outstanding results.
