A compact and innovative solution for continuous temperature monitoring, the FLIR AX8 Thermal Imaging Camera combines thermal imaging with a digital camera in a small, IP67-rated form factor for easy installation in space-constrained areas such as electrical cabinets, manufacturing processes, data centers, energy generation areas, and transportation facilities. The camera offers analysis and alarm functionality, allowing for autonomous operation and communication through standard protocols. This smart camera can stream live video, providing real-time insights into the conditions of your equipment and installations. The camera's Multi Spectral Dynamic Imaging technology enhances thermal images with visible light edges from the digital camera, providing clearer and more detailed imagery. The thermal imaging detector offers an 80 by 60 resolution, equating to 4,800 non-contact and selectable measurement points. Essential for applications where temperature trends can indicate potential risks of failure, the AX8 also integrates easily with industrial control equipment with its compatibility with Ethernet/IP and Modbus TCP field bus protocols, allowing data to be shared and controlled over these networks.

Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Will it work with new iPhone 16 that has USB-C interface?

A: The Xinfrared (formerly InfiRay) T3Pro Thermal Imaging Camera for Android Smartphones (USB Type-C), B&H # XIT3PRO, is designed for Android OS and is not compatible with USB-C iPhones.

Q: 2. Hello , does it show speed in km/h or just in mp/h ?

A: The AGM Asp-Micro TM160 is a thermal imaging sensor. It does not register speed.

Q: 3. Does this module have zooming capabilities in either EO or IR? It appears as though that is not a built in feature, but I wanted to double check.

A: Th7e FLIR Hadron RGB/Thermal Camera Module (30 Hz) will not provide zooming capabilities in EO or IR.

Q: 4. does it work in daylight ?

A: Yes, the AGM Asp-Micro TM160 Thermal Imaging Monocular can be used during daylight. This is a thermal imager and so can view the thermal differences as well by day.

Q: 5. Does it come with the pic rail mount and scope adapter mount included in the box?

A: This quick release is needed for mounting to a picatinny rail: https://bhpho.to/3RYeTl4

Q: 6. What is the difference between the Xinfrared T2 and the Xinfrared P2?

A: The primary distinction of the Xinfrared P2 Pro lies in its compact size and rounded-edge design, and it’s equipped with a macro lens for short-distance inspections. In contrast, the Xinfrared T2 Pro is optimized for long-range inspections, offering a detection range of up to 787 yards (719.63 meters) due to its adjustable focusing lens and magnification capabilities. Additionally, the Xinfrared P2 Pro features a wider temperature inspection range of -20 °C to 550 °C, compared to the T2 Pro's range of 32 °F to 176 °F. Both the P2 Pro and the T2 Pro share a sensor resolution of 256 x 192 and a pixel pitch of 12μm.

Q: 7. Does this work with iPad?

A: The Xinfrared (formerly InfiRay) T2 Pro Thermal Imaging Camera for iPhone is compatible with iOS only. It is not made for compatibility with iPad OS.

Q: 8. Will this fit on an Leonardo AW189

Q: 9. Can the Xinfrared T2/P2 Thermal Imaging Cameras record into Blackmagic iPhone Camera app?

A: The T2/P2 inspection cameras will not support using the Black Magic Camera app. Please consider using the Xinfrared app.

Q: 10. why are yall selling a warranty with a zeiss optic when it comes with a lifetime no questions asked warranty this is dishonest?

A: The manufacturer's warranty does not cover impact damage. Customer would have to pay for shipping to and from the repair facility. Zeiss warranty is not an international coverage. It is for these reasons and others that a customer may also choose the Allstate Production Plan.

[95%] I purchased the FLIR one Pro LT and have been using it for a couple of days in my house. I mainly got it to inspect the parts of my house where it's hottest/coldest (season dependent) and has already helped me identify the culprit areas that I'm now getting insulation installed to mitigate.

The only thing I'd like to see added to the mobile app, iOS in my case, is that the thermal range bar is exported when an image is was taken to add further add context to the image. People that are shown the images always ask what the range of colors means.

[12 / 24 VDC] Pro level build quality at a very reasonable price. I use it for power amplifier diagnostics, but it seems to have unlimited uses. Very well designed and useful device.

[12 / 24 VDC] Easy set up. Worked right off the bat and saw birds in the trees, deer many yards away, and lots of mice in the field. Fun to use.

[Nylon Polymer] It's an Excellent, basic, minimal home inspection thermal camera. The fluke software improves the image over better resolution cameras of other manufacturers. But it has limitations without focus and minimal resolution. We purchased as an inexpensive additional thermal for my inspection company. It's 5 stars for its intended purposes. But it has limited resolution. It's not a 3,000 dollar camera. But at 1 k it was not intended to be.

[Black] Great unit to see heat signatures of all kind. I have used it in house and the woods. The other night in complete darkness my dog was going crazy by the fence. I used it and seen a rabbit tantalizing him.

[95%] I was blown away by the image quality of this unit. I’ve used 320 and 640 handheld units before as well as the top of the lineup Seek phone camera. The processing on the T2 is phenominal. The relatively large front lens is a huge plus too. The image from this rivals the better 320 cores I’ve used. The resolution isn’t as good, but for distance viewing what’s more important is handling noise. The Seek cannot handle noise at all. It turns to a blurry mess shortly even though it’s higher resolution. Even some of the standalone 320 units don’t process noise out as well, making the final picture harder to see.

The T2 processing cuts out the noise while keeping detail. The plain white hot/black hot modes do great to show detail in settings like neighborhoods while the highlight contrast mode makes animals/people stick out from the background significantly. Very helpful when trying to see if the warm thing is something the sun heated a bit or something living.

The phone holder fit both the camera and phone snugly without cranking down on the adjustments. The handle makes viewing much more stable than without, though it’s not required. Still, the stability matched to the zoom of the lens makes the handle a huge plus.

If you’re interested in trying thermal or have a use where having your phone out isn’t a problem, the T2 is the perfect low cost, high value unit. Others may be better for circuit board work or other niches, but for general outdoor activities the T2 Pro is the best bargain going.
