Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Hi, What is the diameter of the bottom of panning plate?

A: The base diameter is 80mm (3.15 )

Q: 2. If the arm is extended to its full length, is the 26.4 lb. limit still OK for the open end?

A: Yes Leofoto HC-32 Horizontal Panoramic Carbon Fiber Center Column System has a load capacity of 26.4 lb at full extension.

Q: 3. What is the diameter of the top platform (where you attach the tilt head)?

Q: 4. In regards to the tandem connection of both a laptop tray and camera, could this even be advisable? From a perspective of camera stability, I mean...

A: It depends on the camera and lens you are using. If you are using a 100 megapixel camera and a 70-200 lens and are cropping in at 100% to check on maximum sharpness than it won't be advisable. I would recommend getting a very heavy and strong tripod kit and separating it from the laptop. But if you have a 24mm lens on a 20 megapixel camera and are not cropping in to 100%, then this LeoFoto will work well with a strong and heavy tripod.

Q: 5. What are the thread sizes - top and bottom?

A: According to Leofoto's website, the base has a 3/8"-16 mounting thread, and from pictures the top either has a 1/4-20" and 3/8"-16 spring-loaded or reversible mounting screw.

Q: 6. One of the options is "Monopod with Ball Head". Is a ball Head included? It doesn't list it on the product page.

A: The Leofoto MP-284C does not come with a ball head. The Leofoto MP-285C does come with a ball head, https://bhpho.to/3P5pg62

Q: 7. Will the bottom end of this Add-On Column accept 1/4 x 20 screw?

A: Leofoto DC-252C has a 3/8"-16 screw opening in the bottom. To attach a 1/4"-20 screw you will need this bushing adapter. https://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/101501-REG/Arca_Swiss_809011_Adapter_Screw_3_8_16.html

Q: 8. What size Leofoto spike foot fits this Leofoto 365 monopod? 3/8", 1/4"?

A: The foot thread on the bottom of the Leofoto MP-365C 5-Section Carbon Fiber Monopod is 3/8".

Q: 9. Will either of the Tetherblock plates you offer (B&H # TETBQR004G or B&H # TETBQR004B) work with this ball head kit (B&H # MAMH057M0Q5K (B&H Kit))?

A: Sorry, no and that would be because Manfrotto does not have any Arca-Swiss compatibility.

Q: 10. Does this monopod fit a Canon 70-200mm 2.8 Zoom lens?

A: This Monopod can support the weight of that lens with a camera. It has the threading to connect directly to your lens as well. Though you may want to use a head on this. You can find an assortment of suitable Monopod Heads at the link here. https://bhpho.to/3aLg1Ff

[26.4 lb / 12 kg] This rod can be helpful in achieving closeup compositions that would otherwise prove impossible, but first consider how it will be mounted. If you intend that the rod be affixed atop a dedicated tripod, then buy this (B&H part LEHC32) version. However, if you want to use it as an accessory that can occasionally mount atop your existing tripod's ballhead (that uses an existing Arca-Swiss type quick-release clamp), then buy B&H part LEH32, and add B&H part LEPLH47 to your purchase.

[23.6" / 610 mm] I wanted to extend the center pole on my Gitzo tripod, This was an instant screw on extension and is very rigid and steady, Five stars for a simple but perfect modification.

[1.25" / 32 mm] Relatively cheap, can collapse to be quite short, can extend to be taller than me. It's also easily sturdy enough to hold my nikon 500mm F4 P all while being quite light.

[1.25" / 32 mm] I shoot real estate photography and bought this to pair with the Manfrotto 475B Pro tripod legs. I just upgraded from the Manfrotto 055, and I already know the 475B + Leofoto tripod arm and I are going to be fast friends.

I bought the Leofoto tripod arm for the rare occasion that an agent wants a vertical shot. The 475B's center column doesn't tilt to 90 degrees, and I decided that what the 475B offered in comparison to the 055 was significant enough that I shopped for a go between. So far, the Leofoto tripod arm delivers as advertised. It's just as beefy and sleek in person as pictured - yet lightweight - and in my line of work, appearance of equipment = confidence in skills when they haven't seen my photos yet.

Though I've only played with the new setup so far, I already know it's going to be fast and simple to change out when a client wants a vertical shot.

Not only does it look super sleek and feels great, it's exactly what I needed to pair with my new tripod. I'm done with the 90degree tilt center column! I bought this new setup because the center column on the 055 was getting wobbly and was such a pain to level the camera whenever I raised it to shoot kitchens and exteriors. (Shooting with a Canon 5D Mark IV.)

Great product. Highly recommend!!

If anything changes after I've used it a bit, I'll update my review.

[26.4 lb / 12 kg] Excellent construction. I like that it is rated to hold 35 pounds of weight.

Unlike the Amazon Basics monopod the foam grip on the Leofoto is adhered to the mast.

[1.25" / 32 mm] I was inspired by the classic Benbo tripod design to get this. I pair it with an RRS TVC-24L tripod Manfrotto super clamp to get closeups of flowers and it works amazing. Build quality is on par with RRS products and all knobs hold nice and tight. The only minor issue I encountered is the base loosened a couple times but I suspect that was user error on my part when I set things up in a hurry. This has now become an indispensable part of my macro toolkit and I love it.

[1.645 lb] Bought this monopod after having tried a few other monopods over the years.(those were heavier & with larger ball heads) Mostly I needed a monopod I can pack in the field when hiking with minimum gear setup, so size/weight matters. Quality build. Have used it in the field a couple times since purchase & so far, so good.
