A: According to Tenba, the Tenba Axis V2 Backpack (Black, 20L) is made of a 420D nylon with a proprietary 5PM top coating and 2x PU back coating that is super water repellant. The MultiCam version is made of a 600D polyester with DWR on top and 2x PU on the back. The MultiCam material is still water repellent but not as repellent as the original black material.

[2 lb] I own the 30L V1 Ash, I used it for my camera gear, I love it, but when I saw there was a V2 with so many improvements I decided to get it, I bought the 30L Midnight color. I am going to list the differences I noticed, both positive and negative in comparison with the V1:

Pros:
- It is lighter, on my most recent trip I added an extra lens and didn't feel I was carrying more than before.
- The straps are so much more comfortable, when carrying too much gear I used to get a bit of pain on my shoulders and neck, with V2 I didn't feel that.
- The support in the back is thinner and I feel it is more comfortable.
- No hip belt, I never really used it so it is less weight for me to carry and it is not taking space from the side pockets when stored.
- I can store more in the top part and the bag does not lose its shape like in V1.
- New rounded shape is so much nicer looking and the new magnetic straps holds are amazing.

Cons:
- No hip belt, but price was the same and now if you need it you have to buy it separately.
- Side pockets are bigger but it would be better if they extended a bit more, because if you have a big lens inside that takes space from the pocket. This was also an issue in V1.
- Front magnetic sleeve where straps are stored is smaller. I used to use it to store a rain cover there, but in V2 it doesn't fit as well as it used to in V1.
- Side handles in the V1 Ash version used to be leather, giving it a nicer look, now only the top one has leather.

[2 lb] I purchased the 30L V2 Black and absolutely LOVE this bag! This bag is beautiful!!! I'm able to fit most of my camera kit to have on me at all times.

Here's what I have in mine:
* Sony A7R II
* Sony A6300
* Sony 18-105 F4
* Tamron 28-75 F2.8
* 2 Godox TT600 speedlites
* Godox Flash trigger
* AndyCine A6 external monitor
* 4 Sony batteries, cables and external charger
* 15" Macbook Pro
* 15" external USB monitor
* Headphones
* 3 external harddrives
* cables and SD card holder
* Logitech MX Master 2S

The only thing about this bag that I hope gets updated in the next version is the laptop zipper. I wish it would open a little wider to help make getting things in/out of it easier.

[2 lb] I've owned two colors of the original Everyday Backpack (both in 20L) for a few years. Bought the first one shortly after release. I've traveled with them hauling everything from mirrorless kits, to full blown SLRs to just using them as a travel/commuter bag.

While I loved almost everything about the backpacks, there were a few minor complaints. On my latest trip, the v1 backpack spent a good amount of time being pulled on top of my luggage and the straps would flop around all over the place. I was completely overjoyed to see that this is addressed in V2 with magnetic strap holders. Also, the storage compartments on the side are now far more usable.

Kudos to Peak Design for making the original even better. FWIW the bags are durable too (we'll see how v2 holds up). Overall the improvements are great and the new bag is even better than the original!

[Universal] Clean design, great little features like shoulder straps that magnetically attach to the bag when not worn, pockets everywhere for all sizes of items, and a large carrying capacity.

[Universal] I've had the v2 20L for ~2 months now and absolutely love it. Writing a review because I don't use it at all as a photography bag, so figured it may help others considering a non photo usage.
I commute via bicycle with this bag everyday. Basically am easily able to roll my shirt in there when I commute so I can change at work. I can then fit my bike helmet on the top expandable section of the bag, and still have enough room to use two "drawers" under it. This could fit a pair of pants and a rolled up shirt, or you could make one single big section out of this and fit a loaf of bread to bring home. Or you could pop up the dividers and store cans if you want. You really make this bag what you want it to be.
It's winter time here, and they got rid of the bike light attachment in the v2. So instead I clasp my bike like on the maglatch thingy and it works alright. The straps are fairly comfortable even when loaded up, including a 15inch macbook. Worst comes to worst use the chest strap to balance the load and it's just fine. The 20L is actually fairly big in itself. Honestly still feeling the joy of using this and transforming it quickly based on the day's need. Awesome bag - it was expensive, but no regrets at all.

[Gray] Got this bag for Christmas and just used it on our trip to Disney World. It is absolutely amazing! It carried all of my gear (camera body, 5 lenses, filters and an accesory bag) and was never too heavy. The weight is distributed perfectly and it's easy to access all of the compartments. I have several PD products and they're all spectacular.

[2 lb] I am loving this bag not only is it comfortable compact and functional. But it has the unique feature of being the sexiest bag anybody has carried in my company ever. I get so many compliments... I feel like a celebrity when I wear this.

[Gray] The everyday backpack is more than any backpack I've ever owned. It is fully modular to fit the needs of every individual. It is thoughtfully constructed with plenty of hidden gems that I continue to find in videos or just exploring the bag. I carry this bag every day and will continue to do so until the day I die.
My one criticism would be about the chest strap. It is difficult to get out of its "short term" storage solution and doesn't stay well in the "long term" storage.
This is a great bag for any one due to it's flexibility and modularity. I LOVE THIS BAG.

[Gray] Everyday 20L is my first PD company bag. It really looks like his name. I put my camera in the bag and take it out every day.

[Zipper] So well designed, excellent materials. I've got my A7R3 camera, 4 prime lenses, some accessories, 13" MB Pro computer, iPad Pro, chargers etc, book, water bottle. All fit comfortably under the airplane seat. I love all the magnetic holding and shutting things. It's super neat with handles all around. You won't be sorry. BTW I bought the smaller version. I'm 5'7 " and with mirrorless cameras I figured I could get away with the smaller bag and I was correct.
