[Universal] Thule bags are always made with great quality and detail. Love the bag. Just received it. I'll update the review as I use it. Love at first site. It replaced another branded bag I've used for a long time. The style, the storage, and the size and suprisingly really light.

[Zipper] Great backpack, feels like a good update from the PhotoSport AW II.
If you're on the edge between 24L and 15L, get the larger one. 24L is not that much larger but it certainly holds a mirrorless camera + 1-2 lenses (depending on the size). The 15L holds a very small camera. For example, Fujifilm XT3 is slightly too big for it. 24L is perfect. I was able to fit XT3 with a 10-24mm + a large 50-220 mm lens in the camera compartment. Solid choice, I personally love side camera access and front stretchy pocket with can definitely hold a vest, snacks, etc. The side pocket is well done and can hold a large Nalgene or a tripod.

[Empty] Every outdoor/landscape photographer ends up with several bags. It comes with the territory. But I don't always need every lens I own and the 200-500mm on deck, and for those long 6-12 mile hikes I might even need a few things for myself, like food, supplies, and clothing. Add to that a full frame mirrorless, 2 lenses, and a tripod, the hydration bladder, and you're soon realizing this bags potential. It keeps you light and on course while avoiding that 35 pound weight of indecision on your back all day.

-Let's be honest, when was the last time you used ALL the 5 lenses you brought while on that single hike? Simplify a bit and enjoy the ride.

Its made well, yet there are a few things that aren't tip top, but I think in the name of weight its a fair trade off for me. I had the first version of this backpack and regretted giving it away for years.

I use a Nikon Z6 with a smallrig l bracket on permanently. A capture clip means I need another small QR plate, making the footprint of the Z6 body much larger than original, yet the 24l compartment still works fine. I typically carry a zoom or 2 lenses with this kit on my motorcycle/hiking adventures consisting of a nikon s 24-70 f4, tamron 35-150mm 2.8-4, or a nikon 18-35mm 3.5-4.5. I think if i wanted to, I could carry my 70-200 in the main compartment above, but I have bags better suited and more purpose built for my big teles.

[Yes] I really wanted to keep this backpack, but it is too narrow for a Sony A7 and a Tamron 150-500mm lens. As a wildlife photographer, I really wanted to keep my long lens ready to go in my bag. Fortunately, the Photo Active BP 300 is a tiny bit wider and works for my use.

This backpack is more suited for hiking and has more storage for hiking gear than the Photo Active BP 300. On the flip side, it's at least 1 narrower and has significantly less built-in storage for camera gear.

[Universal] This is the perfect travel/camping bag. I like to see this as an in between for a normal backpack and a hiking/camping bag. It’s is so spacious you can fill all your things and still have room. Has tons of organization built in with multiple pockets in each opening. I love how lightweight it is, as well as durable. The sleek design is what will get me to use it any chance I get!

[Zipper] I will not say what everyone else has said. It's a great bag, it's 24L total. The camera compartment included is the same as GearUp Creator Box L II which is nicer IMO. But the velcro of the bag door wouldn't connect to the Creator Box L II since the inside door material is nylon. It doesn't have a laptop compartment but it can hold a 13 in the water bladder compartment with a sleeve for extra protection. I would recommend using this with a mirrorless camera, it would have plenty of room for accessories. If used with a bigger DSLR, of course it will work but would take up room in the compartment. So far I love it and it's a great travel companion and very light.

[Empty] Really pleased with this bag. It feat all my needs. I use it like a day pack. Also for traveling. It hold perfectly my MacBook Pro 14 in the water bladder pouch. In the camera compartment, I can bring with me my canon R5 with the rf 24-240 on it and my rf 14-35 f4. I tried to put my R5 with a rf 24-70 f2.8 on it and my rf 70-200 f2.8. It feat but barely. It’s not the best option For that kit. But if someone want to do it. It works. In the main compartment I have a small table tripod an my filter pouch. The quality of the bag is great. An the straps are very comfortable. Highly recommended.

[Zipper] I have a Lowepro pack that will hold a couple bodies plus assorted lenses and gear, but it is huge and cumbersome. I was looking for something I could use on day hikes and this is well-suited to my needs. I can put a Canon R5 with RF macro lens plus a couple extension tubes in the lower portion, a tripod on the side, and my flash unit, lunch, even lightweight rain jacket in the upper compartment. A water bottle can also go in the upper compartment, or I can put a hydration bladder in the provided pocket. This has been perfect for what I needed.

[Yes] Love this backpack! It is big enough to hold my Sony A7RIVA with my Sigma 24-70 mm lens and have enough room to hold another lens too. The camera bag can be taken out of the backpack if you only want a small camera bag. The backpack has plenty of space for items if you go on a hike with your camera equipment or you can take your camera bag out and use it solely for hiking (or anything else you need a backpack for). The sternum straps and waist belt are comfortable, and I like that it has a whistle built into the sternum strap for security. The back padding is nice and having the option to put up to a 3-liter hydration bladder is great. I am also able to fit my 15-inch laptop into the sleeve where a hydration bladder goes (if I'm not using my hydration bladder). It has a few pockets that are great and completely meets all of my needs to have my camera with me while hiking. Lowepro did a fantastic job of designing this backpack for taking pictures on the go.
