The Auray WHF-2545 Foam Windscreen for 1" Microphonesare designed to reduce unwanted broadband wind noise and vocal pops with minimal high frequency loss.

This WHF-2545 Foam Windscreen is designed for use with many small and large diaphragm condensers, handheld dynamic and other microphones with a 1" diameter head. The density of the specialty acoustic foam is optimized to help protect the microphone element from air bursts without muffling the sound.

Whether used on a condenser or dymamic mic, this windscreen is effective in minimizing wind noise and plosive sounds. It is most effective in calm to light breeze conditions (0-7mph), and can be used indoors for protection against drafts caused by air-conditioners. Users can generally expect a 4dB to 8dB reduction in wind noise, with very slight dampening of high frequencies. For most applications, the very slight high frequency dampening is a worthwhile exchange for the notable wind noise reduction.

The WHF-2545's foam is hypoallergenic and washable and helps prevent moisture and dirt from damaging your microphone. The windscreen is designed to fit microphones from AKG, Audio-Technica, Audix, Beyerdynamic, Electro-Voice, Sennheiser, Shure and others.

[0.015 lb] I bought this in hopes that it would work with my Nikon ME-1 mic. Though it is a little short, it covers the primary scensors of the mic, up to the cord, and actually fits tighter than the original. It's a much higher quality windscreen than Nikon's original windscreen. That one fell off and like my son's homework, the dog ate it, literally. 5

[3 x 2.4 x 1.95"] The original windscreen on my mic fell off while recording on a nature walk. Lost it as a result. This new Auray WHF-2545 Foam Windscreen fits incredibly snug. No concerns about it sliding off. Kudos. 5

[Foam] These little foam bits don't seem all that significant...until it gets windy. Then they're indispensable. I put them on my AKG P170 condensers. They fit perfectly, and they cut out the wind noise. Small investment, big return. 5

[0.015 lb] Very happy with the quality of the Auray WHF-2040 windscreen. It fits my mic perfectly, and seems very sturdy. I was previously using some cheap windscreens that I bought on Ebay and they were so flimsy they fell apart after about a year or two. 5
