Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. How do I determine the size I need?

A: The way to Measure what side you need for the Vallerret Power Stretch Pro Liner Photography Gloves (Large, Black) 1) Measure around the widest part of your hand with a relaxed open palm. 2) Measure form the base of your hand, to the tip of your middle finger. Please see the 6th photo for more information on sizing.

Q: 2. Are these gloves waterproof, or does the fleece feel “soggy” when used in the rain and/or snow? I’m interested in these gloves as my go-to gloves while shooting outdoor photography and would like to know how they’d hold up against the elements.

A: Hi, these are fleece gloves, so they are not waterproof and probably not the best (without some type of waterproof outer glove) for very wet conditions

Q: 3. Are there any special washing instructions?

A: No especial instruction just dont use bleach

Q: 4. OK.... this IS a pair of gloves right? not just one glove? lol

A: What if I would like to purchase just one glove? May I do that?

Q: 5. does this come for as pair for left and right hand?

A: Both hands have the removable fingertips

Q: 6. There are complaints about the inadequate protection of these gloves. Could they be part of a pair of gloves used inside larger gloves for photographers above the arctic circle?? Plan: Remove the outer ski gloves, use camera for a brief while, then replace the outer gloves.

A: That would be a much better use for them especially when shooting in arctic conditions. I would recommend something like these as your outer shell HESHLFLPR11B .

Q: 7. Can you wash these gloves?

A: Yes, one can hand wash the Freehands Women's Unlined Fleece Gloves. It is adviseable to air dry the gloves and not shrink them in a "dryer" machine.

Q: 8. Hello, where are these gloves made?

A: These gloves are made in China but that is subject to change.

Q: 9. Are The FlipTech Finger Caps insulated? Thanks

A: Yes the Flip Tech Finger Caps in the Vallerret Tinden Gloves are insulated.

Q: 10. Do both gloves have the finger/thumb flaps? (For us lefty’s)

A: Yes they do. Both gloves have flaps.

[0.29 lb] I wore these gloves on my trip to Antarctica. They kept my hands super warm and I was able to use my camera without taking them off.

[Unisex L] Had my last pair of Vallerret gloves for 5 years and bought another pair as they are amazing. So warm in the coldest of conditions, comfortable, well made, quality materials. I work outside all year taking photos and these get me thru the winter. Recommended.

[0.29 lb] Quit warm and the sticky spots on the gloves make holding a camera in cold weather easy.

[0.29 lb] Only had these a short while but they appear really well made. They are really warm and feel really nice. The magnets simply work to reveal your fingers when required and slip back into the warmth of the glove.

[0.29 lb] Not going into deep snow with these but they're good on chilly autumn days.

[0.29 lb] Used these a few days ago for a 3 hour photo hike in 15 degrees F (= -9.5 C). Kept my hands nice and warm, was really happy. Maybe my little finger got a tiny bit cold so all I needed to do was pull them in for a few mins then extend again. But honestly it was quite cold so something like that is to be expected. I used a cheaper pair of gloves later that day outside for something else and my entire hand was cold. These are fantastic, can recommend them confidently. Size is fairly true - I'd normally use a large and these fit (perhaps a tiny bit more snugly than others but that's good for photography).

[0.29 lb] These gloves appear to be well made and top quality. I received them today (11/30) but was not able to use them out in the field yet, so I can't really comment on how well they keep my hands warm at this time.

I ordered a size XL based on the sizing chart on the Vallerret website, and am glad I did. On the Hand Girth section (9 to 9.8) my hand measurement was a tad over 9, the minimum. But my hand measured 7.5 for the hand length, which was the max for size medium, and the minimum for the Large size. I considered ordering a Large pair, but went with XL and am glad I did. They fit perfectly, a bit snug, but not tight.

Another reviewer said they were floppy and had no substance to them. I did not see this at all with my pair of Tinden gloves. They fit my hand perfectly, I am able to move and bend my fingers easily, and the finger tip folds back no problem and the magnets hold it back securely.

Overall, at the moment I am pleasantly happy with these gloves and would recommend them. The big test will be wearing them out in the field and seeing how well they keep my hands warm. If they fail at that, I will update my review.

[0.29 lb] Upon arrival, I immediately noticed that these gloves were well above my expectations - everything about them had a well-thought-out solid design. The materials they use feel great, have a rugged exterior design, and will certainly keep your hands warm. If you're looking for that extra warmth boost though, you can also tuck away some hand warmers into the zipper compartment in each of the gloves. Compared to other photo gloves, this brand is in a completely different league when it comes to build quality.

Another thing I'd like to mention is that I used Vallerret's size guide for a small and they fit incredibly well - not too tight and not too baggy. I've seen others saying that you should always go a size up although if you just use their sizing guide it should get you the best fit possible; honestly no need to go a size up.

Overall I'm extremely impressed with these gloves and can't wait to start shooting with them!

[Unisex L] Beautifully made and warm, especially with additional Vallerret liners. The magnets seem to work well at holding their respective finger caps open. True to size and comfortable, I am very happy with this purchase!
