Q: 7. Size guidance required.Should one have snug fitting or loose fitting gloves?

A: These gloves are a snug fit. I a was borderline L to XL (ie top end of L (large) but bottom end of XL) on the Valleret website... chose XL and the XL is a snug fit. As a borderline size fit between L-XL I was very glad I went with the next size up as I don't think I would be happy with the L ..I think the L would have been too tight fitting. The internal padding in these gloves make for a snug fit.

Q: 8. In one of the zippered pockets there is a hexagonal metal piece attached to a cord. What is this used for?

A: That is a tripod key, mainly for helping to tighten down quick release plates to your camera.

A: These gloves are very durable and should last a long time if well cared for.

A: The hand girth measurement for the Extra-Small Vallerret Women's Nordic Photography Gloves 6.3 – 6.9 inches (16 – 17.5 cm), and the hand length measurement is 6.1 – 6.5 inches (15.5 – 16.5 cm). The EU size equivalent is EU 6. According to the sizing chart, it states the girth of the hand is measured by measuring around the widest part of your hand with a relaxed open palm. The hand length is measured from the base of the hand to the tip of the middle finger.

[0.53 lb] At first, I thought medium size would be too small, but it is fine for me. The finger openers work fine. I store the gloves with the fingertips held open in order to keep them flexible. 5

[Black] First, the hand measurement chart indicated I was just at the low end of the Large size and Large turned out to be the perfect fit for my hands. Second, in 20F degree weather, my hands remained comfortably warm. The real test will be 0F degree, but that is still to come. Third, the materials and design allowed me to easily use almost all my Sony A7R IV's controls without flipping the fingertips back. And Fourth, flipping a fingertip back made the finer adjustments quick and easy to perform. Basically, for comfort, warmth and usability, these are 5 Star photography gloves. 5

[Unisex XL] The gloves are well made, and the fit is excellent. Most importantly, they are warm and the ability to pop fingertips out is a huge plus. One thing that makes me crazy with modern cameras is the multi point selector wheel with the Ok button in the middle. It is impossible with normal gloves to push that button. However, these gloves with allowing just a tiny bit of your finger out, makes it a cinch and if your fingertips get cold, put them back in the glove. The hole is well stitched and doesn't let much cold in either. 5

[Black] these are pretty good gloves, i wouldnt use them in sub freezing temperatures, but mid 20's and above they are very nice. sizing was true and accurate. B&H was great. quick service, package arrived very quickly..all in all a great purchase, highly recommend both the gloves and the company 5

[Black] I had written a review previously and my one complaint was the strength of the thumb flap magnets. Since then, after wearing the gloves extensively, the thick velour(?) material on the thumb flaps have creased enough that the magnets connect much better. Love these gloves. 5

[0.53 lb] The only downside to the gloves I found was that the small size was still a little large for my fingertips. With that said, the memory card holder on the back is large enough to hold hand warmers, so I was able to keep my fingers double warm. I have only used them once, but it was in subzero weather. My hands/fingers stayed warm. 5
