Offered here in a 25-pack, this 17 x 22" Canson Baryta Photographique II Matte Paper 17x22 25 Sheetsfrom Canson Baryta Photographique II Matte Paper 17x22 25 Sheetsoffers you the ability to create a photograph with the true look and feel of a traditional darkroom print. It features a 100% barium sulphate layer, which offers exceptional contrast and detail as well as a wide color gamut. The paper also provides a high D-Max to produce black and white images with depth and clarity and color images with vibrancy and intensity. Additionally, the combination of the 100% alpha-cellulose base and the matte finish gives the paper a sensual and soft feel to the touch.

A: The Canson Infinity Baryta Prestige II Glossy Paper (17" x 50' Roll) does not have excessive curling after printing so flattening is usually not required.

A: The weight of the Canson Infinity ARCHES 88 is 310gsm (Grams per Square Meter). The paper is made out of 100% cotton. The surface feel is matte and finish is extra smooth.

Q: 3. How is Canson Infinity Photographique II different from its predecessor Canson Infinity Baryta Photographique?

A: The Canson Infinity Baryta Photographique II is slightly thinner than the original (11.9 vs 12.2mil) but other than that they are the same.

Q: 4. How does this tone? Say selenium for tinting?

A: Toning of this paper is just a light touch of warm (I like very much). This is not Linda greenish like the package shows.

Q: 5. can I use this in my laser printer?

A: It is not recommended for laser printers, nor made for them. It will work with both dye and pigment inks on an inkjet printer

Q: 6. Is this an inkjet paper?

A: Yes this is an inkjet paper but meant for higher end inkjet that handle fine art papers.

Q: 7. Has anyone been able to compare prints on these papers with the glossy/satin versions?

A: For photos that are going to be moved around, matte will be better. Not only is it less sensitive when it comes to fingerprints, it's also more resistant to light and doesn't create any reflection. Images with dark tones will have much more contrast.

Q: 8. "Acid-Free" is listed in the "key features" but not in the description or on the box. Is this paper actually acid-free?

A: Yes, the Canson Infinity Baryta Photographique II (5 x 7", 25 Sheets) would be Acid-Free.

Q: 9. After printing on this paper, do you use any kind of finisher or sealant to protect the print? If it matters, I'll be using an Epson surecolor printer and manufacturer pigments.

A: It is not necessary to use any finisher or sealant to ensure longevity of a print printed on the Canson Infinity Baryta Photographique II paper. If you plan on having this displayed uncovered for a long period of time, you may want to use something. But for most standard usage this is not necessary.

Q: 10. Is the Baryta any easier to de-curl and dry mount than the rolls of Canson Platine? It’s the same weight but 1mm thinner.

A: The 1mm thickness difference in the Canson Infinity Baryta Photographique II paper roll will give you marginal differences in curling.

[25x Sheet Paper] love the feel and look of this paper. Prints look super in both black and white and color. I recommend anyone looking to duplicate traditional wet chemistry paper to try. 5

[Matte] I've always printed on cotton rag mat paper mostly because I did not want to swap out matte black and photo black inks on my printer. I've since purchased a printer with both matte and photo black inks My latest work is abstract and vibrant in color. The mat papers just don't work for these images. The Canson Baryta Photographique II paper gives me the colors and detail that I want. The surface is not glossy but satin and the Canson printer profiles are right on! 5

[Yes] I've been super impressed so far with this paper. I bought an A3 pack of this and Hahnemuhle's Photo Rag Matt Baryta to compare. I like the look of the Canson better than the Hahnemuhle but do concede that the Hahnemuhle seems to be a little more durable. Obviously if you need paper without OBA content the Canson is not the way to go but considering the price and that so many of us don't need the print to last 200 years, I'm blown away by the Canson Baryta Matte. Also surprised that it doesn't get a lot of talk. I've used it for both Black and White and color. It holds an incredible amount of detail and the complete lack of any type of glare is fantastic for viewing. 5

[98%] I like the weight and stiffness of the paper. Monochrome and color images have extreme sharpness and fidelity of color and contrast. The back can be signed in pencil which I prefer. Wilhelm Institute has tested the archival quality of this paper for fading and it has one of the longest longevity of all papers. 5

[25x Sheet Paper] I love this paper, but when compared head to head with their Platine Fibre Rag, it comes in second IMO. It is a less expensive paper comparably, and so is an excellent option if you don't want to spend the money on the Platine. Platine has a slight edge in dynamic range due to a slightly brighter base and a lovely luster like surface that is unparalleled IMO. 5
