The durable metal 6" LanParte Magic Arm with Quick Release Adapter (6")from LanParte Magic Arm with Quick Release Adapter (6")incorporates reinforced ball joints that offer solid support for mounting an onboard monitor, light, or another accessory on your camera rig. This versatile arm supports up to 8.8 lb, and its locking lever provides a solid, single-point locking mechanism for the three articulated joints. The ball heads at each end of the arm enable 360° rotation and feature 1/4"-20 screw mounts. A hex wrench is included to provide extra torque to secure your accessory. The arm measures 6" from end to end when fully extended.

A: The Manfrotto 244N has a variable friction control, so you can essentially loosen on portion of the arm while the other remains tight. If you do not need that sort of control, the 143N would have a single locking lever that loosens all the joints equally.

A: Depending on how much weight you need to hold, each stud has a tap. One is 3/8 and the other is 1/4 -20. All tripods have either a 3/8' orr 1/4 screw.

[1/4"-20 Male ] I bought the Noga DG9038CA CineArm and really needed it to mount off the rail. This Lanparte clamp is the perfect size, doesn't get in the way, and provides me with the mount I need for my CineArm. It's a perfect pair! 5

[3] Before I was offput by the price point, but after receiving it, I am very happy. The build quality is incredibly high, and there is absolutely no slipping or downward drift with my camera, lens, and flash attached (total weight approximately 1900 grams). The clamp is well engineered, and it stays put on both my table top as well as any pole (monitor mount, tripod, or otherwise) that I've tried to attach it to, while not damaging any of the surface. The articulating arm is very tight, but it does take some getting used to when positioning it. When you release the tension, every joint freely moves, and it's taken some time for me to get used to the juggling act of getting the arm held in the right spot _and_ the camera point in the right direction. The tripod base that's included in this kit is probably the single least awesome part that's included, though, it is very functional... But I've decided I'm going to keep this in my bag (the larger bag) and only touch it for special use cases; under normal circumstances I'll use my dedicated tripods over the included base. Finally, if you do not already have a hot swappable shoe for your camera, I recommend that you grab one for this kit, as the screw on the camera mount is functional--but it's tedious when you take your camera off your magic arm kit. I am disappointed that the arms are a little short~approximately 10? or so inches. In my situation I could use an extra 2-4 inches for each fo the two arms, but that's definitely not a deal breaker. With that said, I will probably buy another set of these just to help my particular studio needs. Highly recommend this product. 5

[1/4"-20 Male ] This thing awesome! Very high quality of construction. I attach it to a light tripod and attach a speedlight and flash trigger to it. I then use that whole setup for a rim light for portraits. Its easy to setup and adjust. I would highly recommend this product! 5

[3] I purchased this magic arm to use with my Falcam Tree Root tripod. Using it as a support for an external monitor. Build quality is top-notch. Unlike most magic arms that are either totally loose or engage a set of teeth, this unit has a reassuring click to each change in position. Easy to use, but not totally loose, which I have come to appreciate. 5

[1/4"-20 Male ] This magic arm is very sturdy when tightened and very flexible when setting up. I used 3 of them (1 7-inch, 2 11-inch) connected my camera (caged) to 3 Falcam suction cups. I was very satisfied with the setup. There was no potential weak points that the setup could get loose and it was quiet easy to set it up and efficient in using space. 5
