The LPS Low-Profile Right-Angle TA5F Female Connector - Black Capis an LPS Series, low-profile right-angle TA5F mini-XLR female connector with a large black cap designed for cable diameters up to about 5mm OD. The outlet can be set to either right or left of the release pin (from 3 to 9 o'clock) with a 60° adjustment swing to fine-tune the angle.

The connector has a fitted, molded ABS color cap held firmly in place with mini grub screws for lasting durability and the ability to disassemble and repair. Compatible cable options for LPS connectors include Mogami, Belden 1804A, and the company's CT-RAW cable.

[0.02 lb] I use this to plug my microphones into a MOTU UltraLite Mk5. The mic connectors in the front are the only thing I don't like about it, it makes a mess on my desk. This connector helps a lot to run the cable so it doesn't take up much space in front of the interface at all. 5

[0.02 lb] High-quality metal assembly. I didn't realize these were metal when I ordered them, so I was pleasantly surprised. They're about as compact as you can get, so if you're putting together something for a small recorder (like the Zoom F3 or any device with closely-spaced XLRs), they're a good choice. The end caps secure with two set screws. If you're building some kind of custom assembly, you can discard the end caps and secure your assembly into the barrel by shaping it (or 3-D printing it) to fit in the barrel and be gripped by the screws. The one concern I'd have is that the exit hole for a cable (which is a notch in the edge of the end cap, so it comes out sideways), is quite small. You couldn't fit a typical XLR cable through it. Pic attached. Final note: When you open the ziploc these things come in, be careful: The tiny set screws are loose in there, and if they fall out, you WILL lose them. 5

[0.02 lb] Most 4 pin XLR plugs are much to big and stick out too far. This one is low profile and doesn't stick out much. (Switchcraft make a 3pin XLR plug that is even shorter but not in 4pin.) Overall the item is great and works well for me. 5

[Black] Cleaned up my rig nicely. I like that you can partially remove the caps and rotate where the cable exits the XLR end. Very handle for camera rigging. 5
