Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Is it recommended keeping it on all the time? I ask this because if it's similar to a cellphone cover, a lot of gunk accumulates under the cover. Please advise.

A: I would recommend to keep it on all the time as protection against bumps and scratches. If you work in the hot sun it potects against the camera body becoming too hot. After a major shoot, working in dusty conditions, it is a good idea to remove the cover and clean the camera before putting it on again.

Q: 2. Are they going to make a cover to use with the mbd 17 base? They did for the d810 and it has saved my d 810 many times , it is a must have.

A: I don't know. I have your configuration with the D810 and I love it. Unfortunately, that cover is the only good product for a camera with a grip (I could cut the cover for the Nikon D7100/D7200 and D800 with their grip with mediocre to just acceptable results). Don't even try with the cover for the D500 - the lower part of the back is far too thin. This company has yet to realize that most people that buy a pro or semi-pro camera tend to use a grip, genuine or not.

Q: 3. Will you be making one for the R6?

A: Easy Cover will most likely be making a cover in the near future for the R6, please keep checking our website from time to time.

Q: 4. Will the easy cover silicone case for the canon 80d fit with a battery grip attached?

A: Yes, with a little bit of workaround. Frost install the cover. Then install the battery grip and before tightening try to hold lower edge of the cover away from the body and tight the grip.

Q: 5. Will canon 90D fit into this? Or, is there one for canon 90D? Thanks

A: Dear, currently we are making an easyCover camera case for the 90D. The 80D camera case does not fit on the 90D. I think we need another 4 weeks before the 90D camera cases are available for shipping. easyCover Team

Q: 6. Would this trap heat and make the camera overheat even faster?

A: Have had it for awhile now and experienced no problems with overheating...

Q: 7. How does this help with sand and dust. Are the openings covered or something?

A: Hi Nancy, it helps against saw and dust because the majority of the body is covered with silicone and the silicone fits smoothly on the body. You are right, in the openings water, dust can reach the camera, the camera case is not waterproof.

Q: 8. Will it work with a battery grip?

A: Unfortunately no. The silicone skins are made to only fit the camera body.

Q: 9. To those who really got this case: does it fit the body tight?

A: I think if fits tight, and works well, functionality is pretty seamless, even though you are pushing some buttons through the rubber.

Q: 10. How is the included LCD Protector? Is it plastic or tempered glass? Is it 100% transparent or downgrade the LCD image quakity in some way?How does it mount? Adhesive or how?Can it be removed?Does the 5D4's Touchscreen still work without issues when the protector is on it?Thank you very much!!

A: Answers to your questions:1. it is plastic, I don't recommend using it2. same as above so I put in the extra money and got a screen protector from B and H and that works very well.3. If you choice to use the protector comes with the skin, it is adhesive and it can be remove with out issues, but you will not be able to put it back on again. ( I did put it on my older camera and see how will it works)4. I recommend getting some thing like Vello LCD Screen Protector Ultra, this one is glass and works very well with the touch screen.Last thought on the skin, I use it a little over 3 months now, and it really fit well on the 5 D Mark IV, when compare to my older version 5D mark III skin. One drawback on this one, is the shutter release button are not covered like the 5D Mark III skin, which I like it fully covered but without the covering, it is now much easier to press down on the shutter button on the 5d Mark IV.I do recommend it to folks who wants to prevent the minor bumps happens to their camera.

[Yes] This is definitely something you should look into getting for your camera. Makes it way easy to hold and a great motivation to shoot more pictures. I will be getting more colors of this

[Red] I bought this from B&H a year ago. I bought the bright yellow and a black cover gor 2 different bodies. I use the yellow for all my schools & sports, and the black for weddings and events. Cover provides excellent protection had a nice feel that maintains grip even in the heat. As safe as the visibility of the side buttons I go over the letters with a black pen and wipe away what is not in the groove on the yellow cover and use a silver sharpie to do the same on the black cover. Recommend it highly.

[0.285 lb] I do some astrophotography and use the D810A. Working at night you tend to bounce things around a bit more.(At least I do). This protective cover keeps the body like new. I hate scratches on my gear and this is the best way to prevent them! Well worth the few dollars they cost in comparison to the price of the camera!

[Yes] The cover gives a good protection against bumps. At first I had to get used to the feeling. But now it feels great! The second skin provides an extra security... I bought a black cover during my EU trip. Will probably buy another colored cover ;-)

[0.285 lb] these Protection covers are great. They prevent the usual dings the camera body gets with normal wear. I have used them for several years and every camera I resell brings a few extra dollars because of the absence of nicks and dings on the case! A device well worth its price!
