Q: 5. We shoot both Canon and Nikon in my house. Is it safe to assume tht the optics are interchangeable regardless of camera body mount?

A: If you have a Lensbaby lens mount designed for use with Lensbaby's Optic Swap System, and have one for each camera brand (one for Nikon, one for Canon), then yes, the Sweet 50 Optic included with the Lensbaby Composer Pro II can be interchanged between lens mounts. The current lens mounts that are compatible for use with Lensbaby's Optic Swap System would be the Lensbaby Spark, Lensbaby Straight Body, and the Lensbaby Composer Pro II lens mounts.

Q: 6. is it good for architecture?

A: The Lensbaby Composer Pro II with Sweet 50 Optic for Fuji X is a creative lens designed for portraiture or creative photography usage needs. It is not designed for accuracy such as a standard tilt-shift lens. If you are looking for the control of a standard tilt-shift lens, this would not be my recommendation, but if you are looking for a creative perspective for architecture, then it may work for your planned usage.

Q: 7. I have the composer pro ii in both canon and fuji mounts, and in both the lens is very hard to tilt even with the ring loosened. is this normal?

A: Hi Christie. I just tested my composer pro II to see if i had the same problem - And i don't! What i did noticed though, is that the ring has an opposite logic when tightening and loosening, so have you tried max it the other way? Can you move it when the ring is approx. in the middle? In my opinion you should be able to, without being worried about breaking something.Hope you find a solution :)

Q: 8. Is this a usable lens on its own? Or is it an accessory to a lens? Can I put this on a PL mount camera and shoot video normally?

A: The Lensbaby composer Pro II with Sweet 50 Optic is a complete two-part lens. However, as stated on the lensbaby web page, it CANNOT be used on a camera with PL lens mount.

Q: 9. Will this work on the SOnya6000?

A: the lens baby site has a compatibility chart for sony cameras. It says it will work but you have to turn off the shutter lock

Q: 10. Will it fit my Canon R5? I have an adaptor.

A: Yes Lensbaby Spark 2.0 with Sweet 50 Optic for Canon RF is compatible with the Canon R5. No adapter is needed.

[OS2 Single Mode] This is the result of my first use of this lens. 50+ images & 2.5 hours later. I even consulted the documentation. I had previously watched all of the Lensbaby videos for this lens. Shot was on a tripod with macro focusing rails & macro flash. I am quite pleased with the photo. This lens will deliver if your vision suits the linear focusing that it allows. Olympus OM D EM 1 manual mode. This will not be my most used lens, but it will deliver some of my best work. 5

[2" / 51 mm] Plugged it in and it worked with no adjustments or configuration necessary. Long connection with fiber looks exactly like short connection with DVI cable. I'm running a 1920 x 1200 monitor at 60 Hz. 5

[SC (UPC)] The slice of focus is exactly the type of effect I was looking for in a tilt lens. I tried the Double Glass and it's not nearly as pronounced as the Edge 50. It's a super fun lens to use and forces you to slow down and master the tilt effect with manual focus. Highly recommended! Also, it's much more convenient to have a built in aperture instead of the magnetic disks. Works with all of Lensbaby's Composer tilt systems. 5

[2" / 51 mm] This is a nice addition to the Lensbaby swappable optics lineup and complements the Sweet 35 and Edge 80. It is nice to have aperture controls built into the lens. Quality is very good. 5

[SC (UPC)] Lensbaby works so hard to give you contorl over focus and tilt, it's almsot a shame the Sweet 50 is so shar\p at f16. But w great lens to have in the bag when you feel like having a bit of fun. 5

[OS2 Single Mode] I already own the Lensbaby Composer Pro with Sweet 35 and Edge 80 Optics. It took some practice and getting used to; but once I did, I had a lot of fun with these lenses and took some great portraits with them. I was excited to hear about the Sweet 50, as it's a great portrait focal length, especially for those with APS-C cameras like I have, so added it to my collection.Remember, this lens is completely manual, so you may need to dial-in the focal length and aperture into your camera's menu settings so they they are recorded in the resulting file's metadata; and/or carefully watch the manual focus and exposure cues in your viewfinder/LCD display. The key is to slow down.But get those right, and the results are some lovely, narrow sweet spot focus (depth of field) with deliciously smooth bokeh falling away from it. It's not in the same league as the far more expensive prime lenses out there: there are some amazing pieces of glass that can do this too. But tilt the Lensbaby lens around and things really get fun, with different areas/planes of focus with some diorama effects. 5

[OS2 Single Mode] A great addition to the composer pro sweet 50 this lens is a pleasure to play with. It encourages you to be creative all the time. The tilt shift allows you to have the focus slice vertical, horizontal or diagonal according to the angle you tilt the lens. This is really easy to use and the manual focus and aperture controls are smooth. this lens has great build quality. I highly recommend it. 5
