[Removable] This is the most solid tripod I have ever owned; I totally trust my expensive gear to be mounted on it without any concerns. It is easy to use and very stable with a Nikon D850 and a 200-500 mm lens attached.

[Yes] I purchased this tripod to replace another brand tripod that is less than a year old because it has had two flip locks break in that time period! Since I can no longer trust it it was replaced with the Gitzo. The Series 3 is a bit bigger than my other one but will definitely handle my Z9 and big lenses without issue. I really like the twist locks on the legs and also purchased the spiked rubber feet to change out the padded feet when I use it this winter in snow and ice conditions. The legs all work smoothly and lock securely. The Series 4 ball head is nice and smooth with adjustable friction control and locks securely in place, The top plate the ball head mounts to can be easily removed from the legs with the head attached to make the tripod more compact for travel as well. Another perk of the Gitzo is they have tune and repair kits and parts availability to keep their tripods in excellent condition year after year of use! Something you don’t think about when purchasing but nice to know it’s available for later down the road if needed. I’ve been impressed with the build quality of both this tripod and my Gitzo monopod.

[Carbon Fiber] I am enjoying this tripod. It's easy to use and very sturdy. I typically have a D850 and 200-500 lens mounted to it with a Wimberly head.

[Yes] I’ve struggled with the price of a good quality tripod for years. What a waste of time and energy. This tripod is simple, light and well worth the money. I chose the wimberley head, for me, it was a great pair!

[4] This is by far the sturdiest tripod I've owned. The build quality is really spectacular. I searched for the strongest tripod I could find which collapses down to around 24". This one fit my needs perfectly. I decided to buy this version with the Gitzo ball head. It's build quality and operation are everything you'd expect from Gitzo. Although, I did need to tighten the two screws that hold the quick release plate to the ball. The green crinkle paint matches perfectly with the tripod. It's a beautiful and functional set.

[-90° to +39°] This is my second Gitzo CF tripod. Really sturdy and stable. Great piece of gear. Highly recommended.

[Twist Lock] People on here advertising for really right stuff against their main competitor? I have it on good authority that these Gitzo series 5 tripods have the least amount of vibration of anything on the market including really right stuff. The highway patrol uses them to check speed on the highway where extreme stability is required. There is a website where you can go to where an engineer checked out about 30 tripods and these surpassed the really write stuff try podds for stability and resistance to vibration and stiffness.

[9.745 lb] I purchased this tripod for architectural photography work and it does not disappoint. The sturdiness and solid construction make it a real treat while using it out in the field when it's time to break out "the big sticks"!
One thing to note, I didn't anticipate my Benro 3 way geared head not clearing the mounting plate, but that is easily avoided with an extender from Manfrotto. The folks at BH helped me troubleshoot that.
Finally, even extended all the way, which is a long way up, I felt ther tripod was very stable and secure.
It's not cheap, but it's not cheaply made and definitely a long term investment for those serious about gear performance in the field.

[-90° to +39°] I haven't had time to try it in complex situations, but from my limited use, I can already say that I have never used such a sturdy tripod! I also added the rapid center column. The Manfrotto column I've been using for years was the weak point of my old setup. This Gitzo tripod with the column are like an oak tree. It's not budging!
A bit heavy, but what can you expect from an 11' tripod! ;-))
