Ik Multimedia Modo Drum Virtual Instrument (crossgrade, Boxed)
  • Product Code: eq93536
  • Availability: In Stock

$791.97 $1,187.95

Available as a boxed version including a USB drive, IK Multimedia's MODO Drum is a virtual instrument that gives you the sound of realistic drums. The software utilizes IK Multimedia's award-winning technology to model all the elements of the drums that bring them to life: their dimensions, materials of construction, skins, and more. The company has also modeled playing styles, the interaction of the drum head with the body, sympathetic vibrations between drums, and the acoustic interaction of the room.

Ten kits are offered in MODO Drum. You can adjust nearly every element of the drums from the GUI, damping the drums, changing their diameter, adjusting snare tension, and even changing out the heads. You can customize your kit, and make use of the Integrated Grooves manager, which supplies over 1400 grooves in many different styles. Change the play style of each hit down to the sticks used, all for subtle differences in the sound.

You can save all your alterations in easily recallable presets. You can also make use of a virtual drummer. IK's technology promises infinite round-robins, meaning you can avoid the machine gun effect of each quick hit sounding the same.

MODO Drum's Room section will allow you to place your drums in an array of different environments, from drum booths to clubs, cathedrals, and more, all thanks to built-in convolution reverb. You'll also have the ability to use compressors, gates, and other effects.

This software is compatible with Mac and Windows platforms. It will operate in AU, VST2, VST3, and AAX formats.

Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Does this device require bias voltage from the pre amp? How much?

A: The IK Multimedia iRig Acoustic Stage only requires 2 AA batteries for power. It is quite probable the contact microphone included in this package require some sort of power. If so, it will draw the power from the preamp unit itself. Bias voltage ranges between 1-10v.

Q: 2. Hi, can you use this pedal as a preamp pedal? And connect it directy into a PA or hifi system?

A: The IK Multimedia TONEX ONE AI Modeling Multi-FX Pedal does provide a line output which can be connected to the line input on a mixer or speaker, or even directly to a pair of headphones.

Q: 3. Does this preamp work with the video shooting apps (3rd party or standard, such as those on Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra)? If so, does the sound in video become 24bit / 96KHz or it's downsampled to something less when recording?

A: The IK Multimedia iRig Pre HD Audio Interface with Mic Pre is capable of passing audio at a 96 kHz / 24-bit sampling rate, however because it is not a recorder itself, the sampling rate of the audio file would depend on the capabilities of the application used to record. The iRig Pre HD has general compatibility with Android OS, but specific compatibility with third party applications is dependent on the specific application's ability to be used with external microphones.

Q: 4. Is this device compatible with Nylon Strings Instruments?

A: Yes it is. There's actually tone settings specifically for nylon-string instruments, not just steel string.

Q: 5. Does this work with an Sony Xperia Z1 Android 5.0?

A: The iRig Acoustic is compatible with iOS devices or Mac computers only.

Q: 6. Will it work with a multi-page file in pages on an iPad?

A: The iRig BlueTurn's buttons can be used in three different configurations: They can send Page Up/Page Down, Arrow Up/Arrow Down or Arrow Left/Arrow Right commands depending on what you want to do. The unit works with all of the popular page turning and document viewing apps and software.

Q: 7. What are the internal dimensions of this bag?

A: The IK Multimedia iRig Keys I/O 49 Travel Bag is designed specifically for use with the IK Multimedia iRig Keys I/O 49-Key Controller/Audio Interface. The dimensions of the controller are 27.3 x 8.2 x 2.6" (693 x 208 x 65 mm) and the inside of the bag is slightly larger, just enough to fit over the controller. The manufacturer has not provided any of the dimensions of the bag, but the dimensions of the controller should give you a better idea of the size.

Q: 9. our church switched from an analog mixing board to a digital signal processing unit... can i take the sound out of that unit and go into this irig and then to an ipad/?? in other words is this digital or analog?

A: This is a digital audio interface any signal which should work with your sound board as long as you have a Mono XLR output. I would suggest the iRig Stream for this kind of use. Use the RCA out on your board directly to your iOS, Mac/PC, or Android for video streaming or recording. https://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/1523177-REG/ik_multimedia_ip_irig_stream_in_irig_stream.html

Q: 10. Does it’s gonna work with audio connect Mac and Switcher Studio app on iPad ?

A: Yes, the iRig Pre HD works with Mac and iOS. Unfortunately. we do not have any information on the Switcher Studio app. It looks like they suggest the original iRig Pre. Check with their team to see if they allow digital audio on iOS. If so, this should work great. https://support.switcherstudio.com/en/articles/3066145-using-an-audio-mixer-soundboard-with-switcher

[Percussion] The Synchron interface is SO much easier to use (than the former Vienna Symphonic Instruments plugin). Sound quality and playability are impeccable.

[USB Dongle] I'd been using basses in Logic Pro X and they were OK but ModoBass is a MUCH more realistic bass synth. I love it that, as good as it is, it still has a very small "footprint." Excellent!

[Yes] This program was a long time coming. I had been an owner of one of the original mid 1960s Compact Combos for many years, until things started to break down. And of course, next to impossible to find parts. Or people that are able and willing to repair them. Some of the modern keyboards do have some of the Farfisa sounds, but in reality, only a small amount of them(like maybe 2 or 3 of them). In reality, there is more of a diverse amount of tones that the Farfisa produced. Even resorted to buying one of the Electro-Harmonix C9 organ emulator pedals, but that still wasn't enough of these particular kinds of tone for me. Then Arturia started coming out with these new virtual instrument programs. The dealers that I normally buy from carried the similar type of Vox Continental program(which would have probably worked fine, and would have settled for it) but knowing that the Farfisa program was also being made, I had to search to see who carried it. No regrets here. All the sounds that I was familiar with, and where they were situated on the virtual keyboard screen. What was interesting that they had the option of effects pedals in this program......and I would always run my Farfisa through a Phase Shifter and/or a Flanger when I had it. Also learned a few things that I did not know about my original instrument. There used to be this one controller that stuck out of the bottom, that you controlled with your knee. When I bought my original Farfisa(used, back in the mid-70s), that knee controller was missing, and it was something I never noticed. So, a bit more historical and technical information on the instrument you played regularly---but didn't know about. It's easy to get a keyboard that has the piano, Rhodes, and Hammond sounds, to name a few......but nobody seemed to get the Farfisa sounds right. Until now. Great timing, on the part of Arturia!
