Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. how long can the cable be on 4k and HD?

A: The recommended length for either resolution can be up to 150 feet long.

Q: 2. Why are they putting the headphone jack on the back?

A: The PreSonus Studio 24c Desktop 2x2 USB Type-C Audio/MIDI Interface is housed in a compact enclosure, so in order to include all of the features and controls that it offers on the front panel, and maintain its form factor, the headphone jack would need to be located on the back panel.

Q: 3. does this work with the new studio camera 6K pro?

A: The Blackmagic Design Studio Converter will work with the Blackmagic Design Studio Camera 6K Pro.

Q: 4. Looking for an audio interface to control the amount of latency up to 3 seconds of delay. Idea king it would be an audio to usb interface with a delay knob?

A: If you are trying to control the round trip latency of a source connected an interface- going through a DAW- and back to your headphones, you would need to adjust that in the buffer settings of the DAW you're recording into. If you are experiencing latency or "sync issues" between audio and video of a live stream, then you would need to adjust the Input Delay in the streaming software being used. (ie OBS, LiveStream Studio, etc.)

Q: 5. I am looking at integrating this with the BMD studio Pro camera over ethernet. The video tour and other documentation state that everything can be communicated via Cat6 ethernet. How does the "talkback" ethernet port out of this converter integrate into an intercom? What box would it plug into? Thanks!

A: As per Blackmagic Design: Cat6A or higher would need to be connected to camera. The Talkback RJ-45 outputs balanced analog audio to the camera headset system. It will connect to a 4-wire interface on the intercom.

Q: 6. Anyone using this with long Cat6A 150'/164'? I have 164' Laird Dig. Cinema 10GX Cat6A and seeing flickers from SDI out at 1080p.

A: That is a quality cable. Either the settings / video of the Blackmagic Design Studio Converter is incorrect or the cable is damaged or the issue is elsewhere.. I would first try and use a similar cable. .

Q: 7. Cakewalk?

A: We cannot confirm whether or not the Steven Slate Audio RAVEN MTi2 MAX DAW Control Surface is compatible for use with Cakewalk. The supported DAWs listed on the manufacturer's website are Pro Tools 19-2023 (macOS and Windows), Logic Pro X (macOS), Ableton Live 9 - 11 (macOS and Windows), Cubase Pro 10 - 13 (macOS & Windows), Nuendo 10 - 13 (macOS & Windows), Studio One v4, v5, and v6 (macOS & Windows), and Digital Performer 8 - 11 (macOS).

Q: 8. Will the PreSonus Studio 24c work with Zoom or other video conferencing software?

A: Yes. The PreSonus Studio 24c Desktop 2x2 USB Type-C Audio/MIDI Interface can be used to connect microphones to a computer and enable higher quality audio for Zoom and other audio/video conferencing applications, as well as for recording.

Q: 9. Is it USB 3.0?

A: No, this would have a USB Type-C Computer Interface.

Q: 10. Which audio interface has the best quality?Presonus 96, Presonus 24c, Steinberg ur22c, Tascam hr 22 or Arturia minifus1 ?

A: "Quality" is not something that can be objectively measured from a device's specs, but out of the interfaces mentioned the Steinberg UR22C's converters have the highest bit depth at 32-bit and the most available gain (60 dB) on its mic inputs.

PreSonus is premium mixer makers so no doubt they put some of the same quality build from their mixers to this USB audio device. Great that it's USB-C powered. Works well on both my PC and Mac setup. I like the line level displays as it's very accurate. no humming sound. Had a M-Audio 192/4 prior to this and while that was a great interface, I felt more confident with this one.

I have had the Presonus Audiobox 44 VSL for since March of 2012, and honestly, I had never really turned it off, because it had no off switch.
The Audiobox finally starting going out, so I did research and got this PreSonus Studio 24c, and it has been doing an excellent job so far!
I use it with Garage Band and my sons use it to do there music for YouTube. I also produce music using PreSonus and it does not disappoint. All of my music on my youtube page was produced using PreSonus AudioBox, and this Studio 24c is vibing just as good, if not better than the AudioBox. I used to mix with waves NLS, great plugin but it’s just not a fast workflow even with template. Studio One is brilliant with their mix fx channel and can’t wait to see what the future brings. CTC-1 is pretty brilliant and it’ll give you 3 very different analogue emulations, that because of the mix fx takes it a step further than any summing plugins out there, not only in how it sounds and works (especially cause of the cross feed), but also just the ease and workflow speed.

This is not a plug-in you put on after a mix as it won’t really work as supposed - and might muddy or make your mix worse. The point of it, is to treat it as your console and mix in to it from scratch. It’ll instantly bring a lot of life and Mojo just by leveling your mix and I find that it makes me process the individual tracks less. I do have a mix bus and parallel compression template but I’m sure no matter your starting mix state mixing in to this will make you experience your mix approach different.

I have a 24 track Studio Live, an eight track Firestudio and I have added this 2 input Presonus unit for traveling with a laptop. Great unit and it interfaces with all presonus stuff.

I have owned many Presonus interfaces and the 1824c is as solid, well designed, and high quality as any I have owned. Amazing value. 8 channels of input (2 either line or mic) out of the box - perfect for recording drums.

This interface is exactly what was advertised. I needed a quick & easy Setup to use for audio input and this was it. Great value and quality. The build is sturdy. Only complaint would be the rubber feet that you have to stick on yourself. I used superglue to help.

Needed a way to boost audio output from a mixing board going to a computer which we use to stream church services with. The 24c worked perfectly.

I love the Studio 24C...used it recently at home on a Zoom job interview; the interviewer said my voice sounded like I was in a studio (thanks to my Sennheiser shotgun mic).
