[Active 3-Way] I own one SC-204 that I use as my keyboard monitor. Two SC-205's and TS-108 sub. I use the 205's and sub to gig small home venues. These speakers are great. Flat sound to me and they work. Great sound for mid to upper-mid priced speakers I would buy again and recommend to all.

[Red] Great nearfield speakers, and also good utilitarian, for capturing impulse reverbs.

[MDF] I used to install mid to high end home theater and whole house audio in my college days. I've been exposed to good sound, but can't say I'm an expert like someone devoted to that alone. To my ear, these speakers sound great. Depending on the music or whatever, they move serious amounts of air and are totally clear while they do. I have them set to half volume, at the detent and use my new UR44 audio interface for volume control. I can only handle about 3/4 of max volume, but even at that volume they still sound wonderful. These are 150W each, and I've seen speakers that are twice that much power. I assume they're made for bigger spaces and not just a couple of feet from your head because I can't imagine how loud those could get! And I like loud! 150W is enough, to be sure. The footprint was bigger than I expected. I probably should have laid it out ahead of time. My family freaked out a bit in astonishment. I had to clear of my desk and get a little table setup as a return to my left to put books and papers on, as there is now no room for anything else on my desk. Time for a new desk anyway. I have them sitting on the medium sized Auray pads and they're a good fit, I suppose. A little larger in each dimension than necessary. If I can find a bandsaw, I may cut them down a bit. But I think the small ones would have been too small. Anyway, great speakers.

[100 dB] Side by side comparison to ADAM speakers revealed these are the best speakers on the market. They have very clear and big bass. And they have very clear mids and highs. If clarity and low end boom and bass clarity is your thing, then these speakers are the best you will find in the music store. They are better than ADAM Audio speakers in a side by side comparison the rep took me thru, it was close with ADAM being second, but after listening to the EVE SC208s, the ADAMS started to sound just a little more muffled than when I first heard them before hearing the EVE SC208s, and EVE SC208 gave off a big clear, defined, tight bass that was better than ADAM's. Surprisingly the budget Mackie MR8 MK3 kinda came in close third place in all the test. Mackie has bass too and pretty clear mids in the MK3 series only, but EVE's are the best of all on the shelf music store monitors. They are the most expensive tho, so you know why, but you get what you pay for. If you want the monitor with the biggest baddest clearest bass and mids and highs that are not fatiguing at long periods of time, then you will have to pay the cost to be the boss with these.

[MDF] Absolutely amazing bang for the buck. I needed something exactly in this price range to replace my old JBL LSR series 8” monitors.  Although not on display in the store, I found listening to other monitors very useful to get an idea of similarly priced Genelecs and would still  recommend anyone take a trip in to hear everything in the B&H display room.  My work space is certainly not acoustically perfect, though I try.  Out-of-the-box they sound amazingly clean and accurate even before any calibration I will still do.  Slightly more affordable than the Genelec and Neumann  I am very very happy with this purchase, having gone only on reviews and specs without hearing them first.  At bit of a leap of faith, I trusted Adam knew what they were doing and they did!

[Red] I had the opportunity to hear these in action at the AES show in NYC in October of 2017. Three units were located in each of three corners of the room. The door was in the fourth corner and this prevented the use of four units. An IR remote control was available to turn the absorbers on and off. With the system off, we played several low-frequency tones and walked around the room observing nodes and anti-nodes. We then switched the system on and the room response was much more consistent. Bass could now be heard where there had been nodes, and it was no longer overpowering where there had been anti-nodes. We could now walk around the room and hear a much more even bass response. After this we played a kick drum track. With the system off, the kick had a boom sound as it decayed. With the system on, the kick drum was a distinct and well damped thump. The difference was stunning. When listening to music, the absorbers smoothed out the bass response, eliminating annoying room-resonance induced peaks and dips in the response. Very impressed. It would take large volumes of passive absorption material to match the performance of these active devices.

[Active 3-Way] Going to the PSI Audio is an upgrade from the Adam A7Xs Id been using for 5 years. While Id say the Adams are 95% of the way to unadulterated flat audio the PSIs bring it up to 98%. For some that small difference might not be worth the large difference in price. All depends on your resources and how you choose to use them. For me monitors and sound treatment are of upmost importance to the realization of my productions. They are the window from which I view sound and a foggy window, or a small window, will impede the seeing of what is there. The PSIs offer a remarkably clean and balanced 3 dimensional imaging. Ive noticed little ear fatigue, even after many hours, unlike the Adams, which can tend to sound brittle after some hours of listening. I use the PSIs as near-fields and find them actually well suited to a 3 distance I normally work at (even though they are recommended for a further distance). With the Adams I employed a sub (either a Genelec or the Adam Sub8). With the PSIs I dont feel the need for a sub.

[100 dB] Exceeded my expectation as a powered speaker... bought it to use as a monitor speaker and it sounds fantastic, even at higher volume, and could easily fill a room.

[75 to 90%] I have been producing, mixing, and mastering electronic music for almost 10 years and when I say that these speakers have taken my music to a whole nother level, I mean it. Seriously worth the money.
