[7 x 3.2 x 2.2"] First, I don’t know why this item doesn’t show up as an accessory on the FX3 page of the B&H site. I had to do a Google search for the product and then follow a link to the B&H site. 

That said, I purchased this dummy battery and power source for my Sony FX-3. My initial need was for a setup to record a two hour stage play during which swapping out batteries would have caused a gap in footage. 

The  dummy battery fits nicely into the camera battery slot. Something to keep in mind is that the camera door will not shut since door does not have a cutout/recess for the power cord. However, the quick release top and bottom plates allowed sufficient spacing to mount the cares on my tripod with the camera door open. 

Another important issue — which initially caused a bit of a  controlled panic — is that during setup, I noticed that the battery charge indicator on the camera was going down—it never went below 96%. (I hadn’t noticed this during my at-home testing.) Apparently, the “charge” indicator will go below 100% based on a couple of factors such as extension cord length and power input need/regulation attenuated by the camera itself.

Overall, the product does what it’s supposed to do, and I will be using on my next project — a short documentary.

[7 x 3.2 x 2.2"] The bottom line is that this hardware does what it should. It enables an AC connection to the Canon 7D Mark II. Much cheaper than the comparable Canon product. Well made and should last for a long time.

[0.515 lb] I bought a similar AC power supply from Amazon for my Canon 90D for cheaper, and it didn't even turn on or work. Went to B&H and spent the extra few dollars to get this one, and it worked perfectly with no issues. Go for this one rather than wasting your time with Amazon! Thanks B&H for helping with everything.

[7 x 3.2 x 2.2"] I called looking for advice on purchasing a camera to use for livestreaming art classes over various platforms. Through the course of conversation, rather than sell me an expensive camera, I was advised to purchase a Power Supply Kit and use a camera I already owned. Works great! Save tons of money.
