A: I have both the SB-900 and the SB-800. This SZ-2TN fits the SB-900 like a glove, kinda like it was designed just for the SB-900, like it was. It's too big for the SB-800. You would have to wrap it in gaffers tape to keep it in place, which rather defeats the quick and handy nature of the item. But I suppose after messing with it with the tape and all, it would function in modifying the color of the light.

[Clear] I use these in photofloods for my eBay business. When used properly with a relatively fast lens, they give a more accurate portrayal of color than the pop-up flash on my camera. I've never used them with strobes or anything like that, so I don't know how they integrate into that kind of set up. These are lower wattage than the vintage bulbs that came with my photoflood lamps, which were overkill, burned out faster, and made me concerned because of the burning smell they emitted. Still, watch the heat, especially if you use paper-lined sockets. Turn them off when you leave the room, and check the sockets regularly when changing bulbs. 5

[CC-6] I have been purchasing Blue 250 watt photofloods to photograph a friend's artwork for many years. I usually buy several at a time since they are hot and are usually only good for 3 hours. I have never had a bad one and I am pleased that B&H continues to sell them. 5

[700 Hours] I use two of these bulbs placed at 45 degrees on either side of the subject to shoot fine art. It's simple and it works well. 5

[700 Hours] I use these bulbs to photograph jewelry and they are bright enough and give a nice daylight color. The other reviewer commented that they only last three hours, which is exactly the length of time that they say they last on the specs page. I have my lights on a power strip and turn them on just when I'm shooting. 5
