Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Would this fit the Tamron 70-200mm F/2.8 USD VC SP?

A: I do not own this particular Tamron lens. The specs on the B&H website say that it takes a 77 mm filter, so this should work just fine. These screw-on hoods work well with circular polarizers or variable ND filters. I use mine on both my Canon 70-200 f4 and my 100-400 II. Hope this helps.

Q: 2. Would this ring work with the Formatt Hi-tech 100mm Elia Locardi kit?

A: Unfortunately, this ring is only for the Sensei 100mm Filter Holder.

A: There are no issues with filters being scratched when using this pouch.

Q: 9. Would this be big enough to hold 6 step up/down rings? No glass so It would be ok to squeeze a little.

A: The Sensei Three Pocket Filter Pouch (Up to 95mm) may be able to fit the 6 step up rings if you put 2 in each pocket. If the step up rings are different sizes and you can nestle one in the other it will wit. If you are stacking them it will be very tight but it may be possible.

Q: 10. I know this is supposed to be proprietary, but will this work with a Sioti Z Series Filter Holder? The locking mechanism looks

A: The Sensei Pro 77mm Adapter Ring for 100mm Aluminum Universal Filter Holder is proprietary, so the only way to confirm that it works with another system is to try it. B&H does not carry Siotis products.

[Side] This step down ring works very well. I am able to quickly transfer my nd filters between my 16-35 and my other lenses that are 77mm. Sturdy and comes with nice case. Recommend. It's much cheaper than buying multiple nd filters!

[43 mm to 77 mm] I bought this for a 24-70mm Tokina lens so I could use my 77mm filters, avoiding the expense of buying 82mm filters. It is well made, and has a knurled surface that makes it easy to put on and take off, but the ring doesn't interfere with the image throughout the focal range, so it will stay on that lens, with a 77mm lens cap.

[43 mm to 77 mm] I had bought a Sensei pro step up ring before for my 100-400 lens. These new step up rings are very similar and are good quality like the other ones. The brass construction helps against accidental stuck rings. They fit into my circular polarizer well and is easy to use. One tip when using step up rings is that you want to buy the normal UV filter and not a nano or slim version as there are not enough threads in the slim UV filters.

[Side] I recently purchased a Tamron 24-70 from B&H (and love it by the way). A minor detail was that it uses an 82MM filter while all my Nikon pro lenses take a 77mm. No time was spent considering purchasing all new filters for the one lens. I knew a step down was the answer. I like the larger knurled edges on the Sensei, so that's the I picked. It fit perfectly on the Tammy and my Nikon filters now all screw on and off without a problem

[4.1 mm] Don't buy the aluminum ones, they don't seem resistant to heavy work.
