The AONIC 3 is Shure's smallest earphone and designed for long-wearing comfort.

The detachable RMCE-UNI cable allows for direct connection to laptops, in-flight entertainment systems and other mobile devices equipped with a 3.5mm jack. A secure, over-the-ear design with wireform fit ensures earphones stay in place and cables remain out of the way. An inline switch on the cable allows control of both iOS and Android devices.

Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Can these be plugged in on an airplane?

A: Yes the Shure SE215 headphones can be used on an airplane.

Q: 2. Would these earphones work well for location sound?

A: Yes, the Shure SE215 Pro Sound-Isolating Earphones work very well for all types of in-ear monitoring applications, including location sound.

Q: 3. Will this fit the Shure KSE 1500 model?

A: Yes, the Shure Triple-Flange Sleeves for Sound Isolating Earphones (3 Pairs) BH #SHEATFL16 are compatible with the Shure KSE 1500's.

Q: 4. I am having trouble decided between the Shure SE215 and SE315, is it worth the price jump?

A: Apologies in advance for this generic answer, not a model-specific one ...IEM audio quality vs. cost has sharply diminishing returns. Among well-made IEMs, your first $100 gives 80-95% of the available sound quality improvement. Your next $400 only dials in fussy bits. Granted, I love my Shure SE535s. But I've paid 15% of their cost for IEMs that sound 95% as good.Granted, individual tastes vary (e.g., bass fans vs. flat fans). But this diminishing returns rule is pretty universal. So, if you're fussy and well-funded, sure, go big. Otherwise, don't envy the next quality step up; it's almost always smaller than you think.

Q: 5. The Shure SE215 do not have wireless connectivity, is that correct?

A: No, the Shure SE215 Pro Sound-Isolating Earphones are wired, not wireless headphones. The Shure AONIC 215 Gen 2 Bluetooth True Wireless In-Ear Headphones - Black (B&H # SHSE21DYBTW2) are the wireless version of the SE215.

Q: 6. The specs written for the blue, black and clear earbuds are all slightly different. But is there really any difference between them aside from the color?

A: No, the only difference between the blue, black and clear versions is the color. The black and clear are standard colors while the blue finish is a special edition. Specs are actually the same for all three.

Q: 7. Do these fit Shure E2c in-ear monitors?

A: The Shure Silicone Flex Sleeves for Shure Sound Isolating Earphones (Large, 5 Pairs) BH #SHEASFX110L are made to fit the Shure E2c Earphones.

Q: 8. Is there a Shure brand extension cable for the SE215?

A: Shure does not offer an extension cable for the Shure SE215 Sound-Isolating Stereo Earphones, but you can use a standard 3.5mm TRS female to 3.5mm TRS male extension cable to extend the length of the Shure cable, such as the Hosa Technology Stereo Mini Male to Stereo Mini Female Audio Cable - 10' (B&H # HOSMMSMF10). Additionally, there are Shure cables available in different lengths. The IFB cable is only available in 46" length and the cable that is included with the SE215 earphones is also 46" long, but there is an 64" cable available which is the Shure EAC64CL Earphone Cable with Gold-Plated MMCX Connectors - Clear, 64" (B&H # SHEAC64CL).

Q: 9. Can these be used with other IEMs other than the Shure Brand?

A: You can use the Shure SE215 Pro Sound-Isolating Earphones Kit with RMCE-TW2 True Wireless Adapter (Clear) with any IEM body pack receiver via the 3.5mm cable. However, the TW2 Bluetooth adapters won't be compatible with the P3RA receiver as different wireless technologies are used.

Q: 10. Will this fit the Shure SE215 earphones?

A: Yes, they are compatible.

[0.84 lb] These are a bit more effort to first put on compared to my old bud headphones but they seal out outside noise much better and the sound quality is much better. The limiting factor now is my phone.

[Closed-Back] These are great isolation earphones - especially for the price. I have two sets so far and the rest of my band will get a pair eventually.

[Stereo] I have owned Shure in-ear devices for some 20 years. Started with the E3C. I currently own the SE215 and SE425 as well as many other wired IEMs. My true wireless device is the TW-1 besides the BT1 and BT2.
Not sure why I bought the AONIC 4 as I was already in good shape, but I had read about the hybrid driver and that the AOMIC 4 sounds more realistic than the SE425. I was alternating between the SE215 and SE425 for gym and travel respectively.
Now the AONIC 4. I am using this for the gym and travel. I placed the others in a drawer. The sound is so much fuller that the SE425 and does not have the weak sound of the SE215. Noticeable improvement. The fit is secure. Do not fall out of the ear. Works well with the TW1/TW2 setup with the MMCX connection.
Worth the money although I would wait for a sale as I did.
Good luck!

[1/4"] These were my first pair of in-ear headphones. I'm bought these to replace some generic earphones that I use for my portable entertainment devices. The sound isolation is good, and I can focus on listening to my music or watch a TV show/movie without feeling like the ambient noise around me is drowning out what I'm trying to listen to. The sound quality is good overall, but the higher frequencies don't seem quite as clear as I'd like, and the base can be a little overpowering. However, these problems were mostly solved by using the base reduction equalizer preset on my music devices. The cable seems very durable, and these seem to be overall well-made earphones. One thing that I was slightly disappointed with is that they did not come with triple-flanged ear tips. The ear tips that come with these headphones are okay, but I got Shure's triple-flanged ear tips, and those work much better.

[Stereo] Bought to replace another pair of broken earbuds used as in ear monitors when I play drums with my band. My first pair of earbuds where the wire passes over and behind the ear, which I am still getting used to, but once they are in they are comfortable and sound great. Great buy as always at B&H!

[1/4"] After read some review , i decided to buy SE215 to replace my iPod Gen 5 earphone. I replaced the tips with smaller size to make more comfortable .After Burn in 24 hours , I started to listen some jazz music (Smooth jazz and Diana Krall). Compare to new iPod earphone SE215 delivered more musical, wide sounstage and layer.Bass not too tight and deep but enough, listening music through this IEM become more fun. Busy SE215 is an easy step to improve your sound from your exsting gear, without spend lot of money.

[1/4"] I have been using wedge monitors, and in most places having trouble hearing myself. These sound great and for the money well worth.

[26 Ohms] These headphones have great quality sound at a very reasonable price. The headphones take a few times of use to get the hang of installing them in your ears. Once you have the proper fit, they stay in place. Great surrounding sound deadening qualities. FYI, make sure you get a good tight seal in your ear or the headphones will sound quiet with little to no low end (bass). Enjoy!

[MMCX] I use for live performance with my ableton rig. Transparent sound over entire freq spectrum and sound isolation is also a plus. Work best when properly seated in ear--take a minute to read instructions and experiment with best fit. Additional foam inserts (S-M_L) come with phones. Other reviewers mention the need to adjust EQ settings--flat worked very well for me--experiment to achieve the desired result. Bass response is best when properly fitted. 6 foot cable and carrying case provided with phones, Extension cable recommneded if monitoring source is not on your person, or nearby.
