Engineered for wide-field astronomy that includes viewing the moon, picking out your favorite constellations, comet hunting, satellite spotting, or watching for iridium flares, the Barska 25x100 WP Cosmos Astronomical Binoculars Matte Blackare an ideal companion for dark and starry nights.

Outfitted with a magnification and objective lens size that rival many beginner telescopes, the Cosmos ensure a generous field of view, comfortable eye relief, and wide exit pupil for easier viewing. The traditional Porro prism light path presents a rich depth of field, while producing a naturally balanced and comfortable feel in the hand. The chassis' ergonomic feel is complemented with textured armor to further improve grip security. Both optical tubes are nitrogen filled to be waterproof and resistant to the internal fogging that can occur when moving from the inside of a warm house to the outside into cold winter or sultry humid summer nights. Weighing in at almost nine pounds, holding them by hand is impractical, so Barska made them mountable on a wide variety of tripods, quick release plates, and heads with an integrated 1/4"-20 tripod mount.

Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Are these binoculars good for sky watching, or should I get a different brand?

A: Yes these will work very good for Celestial use. You can also do the Nikon 7x50 Aculon A211 Binocular. These would be a brighter choice due to the lower magnification. Link: http://bhpho.to/1O7uUCg

Q: 2. Do you have an item that will allow me to see an object in detail from a 2-10 feet distance with clarity?

A: Yes I would recommend something with less power. That way you get a better image. The Carson 7x18 CloseUp Monocular would be a nice choice. Link: http://bhpho.to/1afFyF3

Q: 3. what is the size?

A: The Length of the binoculars are 5.75 , and the Width is 3.3 .

Q: 4. I have a Celestron 25x100 binocular that came with a Celestron Alt-Azimuth tripod Model 93607 but they don't seem to mate very well and the tripod does not elevate more than a few degrees above hrozontal. Do I have the wrong tripod?

A: I have the same binoculars and tripod. The mating to the tripod is very solid; no problem at all. Perhaps you've sorted that out by now. The range of elevation angles is somewhat limited from what I'd prefer. It's about plus/minus 20 degrees. However, anything more could make it very awkward to sight through the binoculars.

Q: 5. If you look at a horizon or anything with a strait line across the view does it bow the line above & below the center line of the view?

A: No it should not.

Q: 6. Where is this product made?

A: The country of origin for this item is China

Q: 7. Is this recommended for birding / bird watching .. how will it perform during low light

A: The classic birding binocular is 42mm, so a 50mm will resolve better in low light.

Q: 8. If out-of-collimation, is it possible for the user to adjust the collimation?

A: Collimation of the Celestron 25x100 SkyMaster Binoculars BH #CE25X100SM • MFR #71017 cannot be done by the consumer.

Q: 9. is the Skymaster binocular kit new?

A: Yes, the Celestron 25x100 SkyMaster Binoculars Kit is new and includes the original warranties and accessories shipped from the manufacturer.

Q: 10. What size battery does this take

A: 2 LR44 batteries

[4 mm] Great item to have either in your photo bag to check subjects that are a bit away or just to have along on a nature walk. I've found it to be of sturdy construction and fairly weather proof. No problem after about 10 weeks.
