The Avenview DisplayPort 1.4 Fiber Optic Cable 32.8ftlets you extend DisplayPort 1.2a and 1.4 digital signal at 8K @ 60 Hz (7680 x 4320) resolution. The fiber optic cable structure allows this 8K extender to transmit at high speed over long distance.

This cable is comprised of a transmitting end and a receiving end. The transmitter is connected to a 8K source via DisplayPort connector, and converts the audio/video signal to transmit it across the fiber optic cable. The receiver then decodes the data to the connected 8K display via DisplayPort. The cable will auto detect the display resolution and will adjust the output accordingly.

The cable supports DPCP (DisplayPort Content Protection) and HDCP (High-Bandwidth Digital Content Protection). The High Bit Rate (HBR3) fiber optic cable assembly supports a data transfer rate up to 8.1 Gb/s. The cable has a hot plug detection signal that is transmitted by a 1CH multi-mode fiber. This fiber optic cable extender is ideal for extending video and audio from your PC to a display over a long distance while still being able to maintain a clear image and sound.

    Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. How to connect the display port female on computer to HDMI female on monitor?

A: To use this Xcellon DisplayPort to HDMI Adapter, you will also need a HDMI male to male cable.

Q: 2. what is the length?

A: The length of this cable is 1 meter

Q: 3. Will Lensbaby Bokeh Optic set fit on this?

A: Yes, the Lensbaby Creative Bokeh Optic would be compatible for use with the Lensbaby Composer Pro II for Canon EF included in the Lensbaby Optic Swap Founder's Collection for Canon EF.

Q: 4. I have a Canon EOS Rebel T7. I am not professional. Will this Lensbaby Sweet 22 fit?

A: The Lensbaby Sweet 22 Lens Kit (Leica L) is incompatible with the Canon EOS Rebel T7 DSLR Camera. You need lenses with a Canon EF mount. The Lensbaby Composer Pro II with Sweet 50 Optic for Canon EF, BH #LELBCP250C, is compatible with your camera.

Q: 5. What is the expiration date and how many months it can be stored?

A: There is no expiration date as long as it is kept in the original container and capped.

Q: 6. Does this work over 200' plus over nonplenum Cat6?

    A: I use UDP Cat 6 ..Longest run I use is 100ft

Q: 7. Can you tell me if the protocol remains between Tx and rx. Eg if I insert 1080i hdmi at the Tx, will it arrive at the hdmi out on the receiver end as 1080i ?

A: Yes, if you are sending a 1080i signal it should arrive at the output end as the same. That is what we are sending to our outputs and the quality on the monitors is indeed the same as we sent. I will caution you, however, if you are sending the signal 200 feet or more, be aware that you may experience occasional signal loss when powering up. We have found that if we turn the extender off and then back on it will usually pick the further outputs up after a try or two.

Q: 8. Can this product be used on the Nikon D800 sensor.I have heard that the sensor has some type of tin oxide coating that may be damaged by eclipse and that you had to use Eclipse2 instead (which does not seem to be available) --I just got my D800 from you last month and want to make sure that I have the right product when the time comes to clean the sensor --thank you

A: I contacted Photographic Solutions regarding this and they stated that the Eclipse Optic cleaning solution is safe to use on the D800s sensor. The Eclipse 2 you mentioned was actually discontinued by them as they were not happy with the manner in which it evaporated which explains why it is not available.

Q: 9. Will it fit my Canon R5? I have an adaptor.

A: Yes Lensbaby Spark 2.0 with Sweet 50 Optic for Canon RF is compatible with the Canon R5. No adapter is needed.

Q: 10. I want to convert a HDMI out put from a Livestream hd 550 to a Ethernet input of a mushroom networks streamer, will this work?

A: the HDM-C6IP-SET is intended to work as a SET (Sender and Receiver). It depends on the Mushroom Network Streamer if it is able to decode the signal from the Sender connected to your Livestream HD 550.

[8.9 x 8.6 x 2"] I bought a new computer and display(s). The cable supplied was shorter than I needed, so this one at 2 meters helped, and it was the closest longer one that I could get. It performed fine, no issues.

[20 to 80%] I need a longer than normal monitor cable for my setup. This is just the length I needed. Very good quality and flexible. The latches are great and will keep the cable from falling out.

[0.985 lb] This does exactly what it’s supposed to do. I have a 4K Ben Q monitor and a 2015 MacBook Pro that I have running in another room because of fan noise in my studio. I have an optical thunderbolt cable but couldn’t get 4K 60hz at the tail end of my Thunderbolt Daisy chain. No cable would allow me to get 4K at 60hz at the distance I needed. The longest cable run I could do was 6ft or so and that was unreliable. I got a very short DP cable run directly into the repeater and then I ran a 25ft display port cable outside the room and tacked it to the wall. Works perfectly. Make sure you have the shortest possible cable running directly to this box from the source. This is a great solution and doesn’t require you to spend $350+ on optical cabling that dies after a couple years because the lasers and sensors overheat.
