[0.7 oz / 19.8 g] Most 4 pin XLR plugs are much to big and stick out too far. This one is low profile and doesn't stick out much. (Switchcraft make a 3pin XLR plug that is even shorter but not in 4pin.) Overall the item is great and works well for me. 5

[Gold] High-quality metal assembly. I didn't realize these were metal when I ordered them, so I was pleasantly surprised. They're about as compact as you can get, so if you're putting together something for a small recorder (like the Zoom F3 or any device with closely-spaced XLRs), they're a good choice. The end caps secure with two set screws. If you're building some kind of custom assembly, you can discard the end caps and secure your assembly into the barrel by shaping it (or 3-D printing it) to fit in the barrel and be gripped by the screws. The one concern I'd have is that the exit hole for a cable (which is a notch in the edge of the end cap, so it comes out sideways), is quite small. You couldn't fit a typical XLR cable through it. Pic attached. Final note: When you open the ziploc these things come in, be careful: The tiny set screws are loose in there, and if they fall out, you WILL lose them. 5

[Gold] I used this connector to make a low-profile power plug for my new Canon C400. Ability to rotate the input of the cable into the plug 360º is super useful. It allowed me to shortest cable from the V-mount plate to the XLR power input on the camera (see picture). 5

[0.055 lb] They work great for a mic on a camera or a sound recorder. I have used these on both. The only issue, and it is minor, is the cord is so thin that the cord holder on the mic is too large. It also locks in very securely. Wish I bought this years ago. 5

[0.055 lb] This is a great niche item. I paid for this instead of a cheaper solution because there is nothing really in the market that compares to this. Audio quality is amazing and build quality is top notch. The only con its just expensive but that's what you pay for a specialty piece. 5
