Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Cf Todd card adapter for canon 7d

A: This is not a CF card adapter. It goes into the SD card slot of a compatible camera, such as 7D II

Q: 2. Can you use this W-E1 WiFi SD card to only transfer JPG images (shot to SD card) to a computer but keep RAW images on the CF in the camera?

A: If I am understanding you correctly, yes, you can shoot and have the JPG's sent to your computer while the RAW and JPG files are being written and saved to the CF card.

Q: 3. Has anybody tried this adapter with video? I'm looking to use it to make my iPhone into a wireless monitor for my 7DMKII. Curious if it works.

A: The W-E1 does not allow for remote viewing while video recording. From the Canon Digital Learning Center: Video recording must be completely stopped, and the camera switched out of video recording mode altogether, before Wi-Fi communication with mobile devices can be performed.

Q: 4. Will this W-E1 Wifi card work by itself to transfer the images to my phone or laptop?? Or is a CF card in conjunction with this wifi card mandatory for anything to work?? I know this wifi card has no SD storage, but if I put it in the camera with no other cards, will it still let me send the pics to my phone/laptop? Is a CF card mandatory also for it to work wirelessly or is a CF card just optional if I also want to save it to a physical memory card??

A: CF card is a must , and this is only compatible with Canon 5DS/ 5DSR and Canon 7D II

Q: 5. whats the transfer rate? didn't want to slow down shooting with 70mb raw files of the 5dsr

A: As of now there is no information on the transfer rate. There are many variables that might make it tough to give a transfer rate.

Q: 6. I was just on Canon's web site and saw the 7d ii proved at $1499 and saw the 7d ii w/wifi for $1849. Why the extra $350 if the only thing I need to make my 7d ii a wifi device is the $40 wifi adaptor card? Am I missing something or is there something else I need to make it a wifi device in addition to $40 wifi card?

A: Looking at Canon's site, it looks like the $1849 kit includes the 18-135mm STM lens. Not sure on the wifi card, but that would explain the price difference.

Q: 7. What is the HDMI In port for?

A: Videotel Digital VP92 4K Digital Signage Media Player Network & Wi-Fi Capable (BH # VIVP924K ) features HDMI input ports for content.

Q: 8. What is the deferent from wi-fi mobe

A: The Canon W-E1 Wi-Fi Adapter can control the EOS 7D Mark II, EOS 5DS and the EOS 5DS R with Canon's Camera Connect mobile app on a smart device. The Eyefi Mobi cannot do that. But the Canon W-E1 does not have any storage. It is only to give those cameras Wi-fi. The Mobi has storage like a regular SD card.

Q: 9. Hi, would this adapter be compatible with the SL1?

A: I do not think so. This microSD card needs a specific driver in the camera.

Q: 10. Card reads it is write protected in my 7d-mii this Card is junk don't work

It's a bit daunting to use at first, but within minutes I had support via Bome's Youtube channel. I've only scratched the surface of the complexity of what's possible and I think this will serve me well into the future for building out/refining workflows.

I purchased this to take advantage of my 3Gbps connection, my X670E Tomahawk does 2.5gGbps and I would see 2.3gbps upload/download during a speedtest.net, upon placing this card in the bottom slot and installing the driver I was back up and running in under 10 minutes on Windows 11. Now my internet connection does 3.2gbps without any downsides thanks to the gen 4 connection. I would recommend this card it was very easy to get running on W11.

Does literally everything you could want in a midi utility device including midi over wifi with no noticable latency, advanced midi translations, and up to 30 usb port extention to stack and rout all of your midi usb devices, you can control it remotley with a computer, ips device or rasbery pi, I programed my rasbery pi to control the system with all of my bomeboxes and comuputers sending and receiving midi, all of midi device are accessible by any other midi device or computer on my studios network, truley a gamechanger!

Good coverage, simple to set up, and SRM seems stable and pleasant to work with.

Replaced a Unifi setup with the aim of simplifying my home network without giving up too many "premium" features. I think it's been a great fit in that regard.

You can find comparable hardware cheaper, but Synology's software is well worth the premium. I'm adept at technical setups, but with both NAS and Router configuration, I opt for user friendly setups that make it easy to get complicated configurations right. Specifically with this router, it is easy to setup VLANs and associating appropriate firewall rules, to having separate primary, IOT, and guest networks. One thing I initially thought was a little weird was that I needed to add external storage to install additional applications (Safe Access and Threat Prevention -- both great additions). Thinking it through though, I understand their decision; storing logs and database updates on internal memory or an SD card (which you can do with an USB adapter) is a bad idea -- connecting an external SSD drive is the way to go.

MIDI Translator Pro is an extremely capable tool that enables you to get into MIDI at a whole other level. There is a bit of a learning curve, so don't expect to click on it, and it works. You need to read a bit and watch their very helpful videos,,,but after that you will be ready to conquer MIDI!

I upgraded my network to 10Gb, and this little card stand out from the rest, it is probably one of the few ones that are Gen4. I tested on X4 and I was able to get 8Gb/s transfer rate (which is the limit for Gen4x4) installing drivers was simple to get the *inf file from Marvel.

I ran into an issue that on high bandwidth, the network card disconnects and required me to restart the adapter, after talking to the excellent customer services, turned out to be an old / conflicting driver that was causing the issue. removing that solved the problem.

My computer would go into slow motion with my old card. After I replaced with this one, everything just worked.

Fast, and great manufacturer support. CPU never above 30%.

Biggest thing for me was VLAN support. Now I can isolate all the IOT devices on their own subnet, yet using firewall rules can allow certain exceptions such as NAS access.

Also using the MESH capability via an MR2200ac.

Many apps are also available, and the NAS-like interface makes navigation smooth and familiar.

Best router I have ever owned, and B&H shipping and service was superb.
