Designed for macOS versions of FL Studio, the FL Studio Backlit Keyboard for Mac by Logickeyboard ASTRA 2from FL Studio Backlit Keyboard for Mac by Logickeyboard ASTRA 2features a 108-key US English layout that includes a full-sized F-row and multimedia keys, as well as color-coded and labeled shortcut keys with graphical commands. Thanks to five levels of dimmable backlighting, the ASTRA may be used in a variety of lighting conditions, from bright to dark and day to night. Also featured is one USB-A 3.2 Gen 1 (3.1 Gen 1/3.0) port, which may be used to connect a mouse, contour shuttle, or a USB dongle. Connectivity with your host system is achieved using a 5.9' cable with two separate USB Type-A connections. Use the gray connector to power the keyboard and use the black connector for the USB hub.

Logickeyboard built the ASTRA 2 with plug-and-play connectivity, meaning that no additional drivers are required for use. It also draws power from the USB bus, so no additional power is needed. In the event that you need this to serve as a replacement keyboard for another system, all letters, numbers, and symbols can be found just as they would be on a standard keyboard.

Q: 6. Is the astra 2 for avid MC also compatible with premiere? Can it be made compatible with premiere shortcut key mapping?

A: Technically, the Logickeyboard ASTRA 2 Avid Media Composer Keyboard for macOS (Silver) could be used with Premiere and there are keyboard mapping options in Premiere which could approximately match the AVID commands, though it may not be quite exact. This may be useful if you need to switch between both programs on the same computer.

A: The Logickeyboard ASTRA 2 Backlit Keyboard for DaVinci Resolve 18 and 19 (Mac, US English), B&H # LOBRESBA2MUS, has a caps lock LED indicator on the top right of the keyboard. It does not have an LED built into the keycap.

Q: 10. I jus recived my keyboard and the little manual is telling me to go in system preferences and check a box (use all F1F2, etc. keys as standard function keys) but the option is not there !!! I need to hod fn button to adjust volume !!!! anny way around that so far the onlu option is to put gaff tape on fn to keep it on ?

A: I like this better than the standard Mac computer keyboard. Only thing missing is a light on the Caps key.

[USB-A ] I love the large & easy to read keyboard. My eyes are old & I was making a lot of typos on my old keyboard. The backlight helps alot. The keystroke feels just right. This is a quality keyboard. 5

[Graphite Gray] This backlighted keyboard is what I have always wanted in my years editing in dark suites! The keyboard is not lightweight and stays where you put it. It has helped me tremendously in my switch to DaVinci Resolve faster than a "cheat sheet". While I understand that using USB type A connections is probably the most universal thing in an era of changing technology, I am a bit perplexed by it having a USB2 and a USB3 plug in one cable versus one USB3 and an internal hub in the keyboard? All in all, the cable is sturdy and should last for years of hard work. Since I already have the Blackmagic Speed Editor, this keyboard seems like a more logical choice than the BM for the dedicated keys and of course I have a Jog wheel and additional buttons for editing. It looks great sitting on the desk and lends itself to the professional image that I want to project to my clients. 5
