Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Is aperture controlled via the lens aperture ring when using this adapter?

A: Yes the aperture can only be controlled by the ring on the lens. If you have a newer lens that lacks a manual aperture ring, this Vello adapter would be a better option: https://bhpho.to/3IbSUkX

Q: 2. Will this work with my Nikon D3500 and can I Adapt it to my Sigma28mm1.1.8 EXDG Lens?

A: The Urth Manual Lens Mount Adapter for Nikon F-Mount Lens to Leica L-Mount Camera Body is for mounting the lenses your D3500 uses into a Leica L mount camera. It will not attach to a Nikon camera, only to a Nikon lens.

Q: 3. Does this have electronics so focus by wire works, or is it for manual lenses only?

A: Urth Lens Mount Adapter Compatible With Sony A (Minolta Af) Lens To Sony E Camera Body is a manual focus adapter.

Q: 4. Will autofocus work? FTZ first gen adapter only worked with some Nikon-F AF glass but not all. FTZ II foxed that problem.

A: No, auto focus will not work with the Urth Manual Lens Mount Adapter for Nikon F Lens to Nikon Z-Mount.

Q: 5. Does this lens support infinity focus?

A: As long as the Nikon F-mount lens you own supports infinity focus, yes, the Urth Manual Lens Mount Adapter for Nikon F-Mount Lens to Leica L-Mount Camera Body would allow infinity focus when used with your Nikon lens.

Q: 6. What's the weight of this adapter?

A: The weight of the Urth Manual Lens Mount Adapter for Nikon F with Aperture Ring Lens to Micro Thirds Camera Body, is about a half a pound.

Q: 7. Is it manual focus only? Will it avoid the 1.6x crop when using an EF-S lens?

A: The Urth Manual Lens Mount Adapter for Canon EF/EF-S Lens to Canon RF-Mount Camera Body is fully manual. Aperture and focus would be fully manual. The camera will not automatically crop as it does not know what lens is being mounted. That being said, an EF-S lens is not designed to cover a full frame sensor and you may experience heavy vignetting if you do not crop. Additionally Canon EF-S lenses do not have any manual aperture control, so the lens aperture will not be able to be adjusted.

Q: 8. The Nikon Z f is not on the list under the "compatibility" on button on the product page. Is it compatible with the Nikon Z f?

A: Yes, the Urth Manual Lens Mount Adapter for Nikon F Lens to Nikon Z-Mount Camera Body is compatible with the Nikon Zf Mirrorless Camera.

Q: 9. will this adapter allow infinity focusing?

A: Yes, the Urth Lens Mount Adapter Compatible With M42 Lens To Pentax K Camera Body will maintain manual focus through the lens' full range from the M42 lens' minimum focus distance to infinity. Do note that as this is a manual lens adapter with no electronic contacs on the lens mount, most automatic functions – aperture, autofocus, AE metering and image stabilization – must be adjusted manually. Exposure settings need to be set manually, too.

Q: 10. Will this work with FD Bayonet Mount lenses or just FD - SC?

A: The Urth Manual Lens Mount Adapter for Canon FD-Mount Lens to Leica L-Mount Camera Body works with Canon FD mount lenses.

[0.385 lb] It works just as expected. Creates a solid, stiff connection between the lens and the camera. Manual only, no aperture or distance information recorded. If the lens is an electronic aperture lens, you can only use it at its widest aperture as expected.

[0.385 lb] I can't say anything bad about this adapter. I can use now my 12mm Rokinon X-mount on my Z50 and it works flawlessly.

[Aluminum] Used the adapter to couple my canon FD 1.8 with my canon m6. Followed the instructions on the Urth website and was able to use it right away. Felt like going back to the 80s when I had an AE-1 with the same lens and film :-)

[Nikon Z] It is a bit stiff to mount the Fuji lens in the beginning, but then it looses up a bit. Excellent simple product.

[Aluminum] This lens mount adapter will certainly get the job done. Don't waste money on the more expensive ones. Just make sure on your EOS-M camera to go to MENU Function settings (tab 5) Custom Functions (C.Fn) and select Enable for release shutter w/o lens. This is how the camera will allow you to take pictures with the Pentax lenses.

[Aluminum] Got this to adapt my collection of Takumar lenses for my new S1H. This adapter feels perfectly sturdy and does what it was designed to do. Extra meaningful because it let me adapt lenses left from my late grandfather. Definitely the adapter to get for Leica L-mount cameras.

[Aluminum] the unit is nicely made and the lens appears to lock up firmly.

unfortunately the infinity focus is off w/ some lenses.

it may be the case that the lenses i'm using are the problem

[Aluminum] I am using this adapter on my M50 mark II to adapt a Pentax-M SMC f1.4 50mm lens. The adapter is well built, sturdy, and although the lens release lever feels a little stiff, has otherwise good ergonomics. Using a vintage lens has been a lot of fun, especially since my M50 had just been gathering dust after I acquired a much older, but better performing DSLR. Manual focus Pentax lenses especially can be found quite cheaply, and on the APS-C sensor of my camera perform exceptionally well under good conditions.

[0.385 lb] I wasn't sure how this was going to work, but I recently got a Nikon Z5 and got a few lens, but I also shoot with a Fujifilm and didn't feel like spending the money to rebuy one of my favorite macro lens the Laowa 100mm. But this item hits the spot. Since the Laowa I have is an APC lens, all I did was set the Z5 to a DX format and it just works. Since I'm shooting macro that does not bother me.

[Aluminum] After more than 25 years with Minolta and SONY equipment, I have made the switch to Canon. This adapter is indispensable for the transition. It allows me to continue using Minolta lenses while I decide which Canon lenses to buy.
