Q: 1. Frequency range and frequency response are...unpublished? I'd really appreciate info/ comment about these characteristics - what are the pros/cons, using the Roland CM-30 Cube as studio monitor(s)? Are they flat? & will I need a separate sub?

A: Unfortunately, the manufacturer does not list those specifications. The Roland CM-30 was designed with the traveling musician in mind, and not the studio engineer necessarily, though in a pinch, it can be used for monitoring in the studio. You would be better served with a pair of JBL LSR 305's nonetheless; B&H# JBLSR305. With the use of two monitors, one can have a better stereo image of a stereo mix. The use of a sub is optional and not necessary; though having one is good for reference.

Q: 2. Is it possible to fit 19" rack equipment in the 0350 case?

A: The interior dimensions are 20x20x20" so as long as your equipment is less than that it will fit.

Q: 3. Do the tripod legs also extend to form a broader base?

A: No. The following unit comes with a fixed footprint.

Q: 4. Is the foam included in this case pick-n-pluck?

A: Yes it is pick & pluck.

Q: 5. can i use this speaker with a turnable vinyl system?

A: Probably not directly. The Roland CM-30 does not have phono inputs. You would need to purchase a separate phono pre-amp to put between the turntable and Roland. This would convert the very weak turntable phono output into a line-level signal that you could plug into the aux inputs on the Roland. The exception would be if your turntable has a built-in phono pre-amp so that it puts out a line-level signal (which I believe would be the case if it has USB outputs), but this would be uncommon.

Q: 6. Is this stand stable enough to use with the 10.5 x 7.5" Studio Panel LED Bi-Color Light from Lume Cube?

A: No, we suggest the following for maximum payload support. Impact Two Section Back Light Stand (3') BH #IMLS3S • MFR #LS-3S https://bhpho.to/3MJvZ6g

Q: 7. Can this power two devices at the same time? One via the USB-C port and another via the USB-A port?

A: Yes, you can charge two devices simultaneously with the Lume Cube Power Bank Grip (Black) using the USB-C and USB-A ports.

Q: 8. How many layers of foam are in this case?

A: There are 6 pieces total: 2 in the lid and 4 pieces of Pick N' Pluck.

Q: 9. no lids organizer for 1730 series ??! ... planning to purchase 1730 for briefcase purpose because i'll study overseas in Japan & need to bring more stuff so i can pack it all in one briefcase ...

A: Unfortunately, there are no lid organizers made for the 1730 case.

Q: 10. re: the interior dimension (42 x 22 x 15.1) ... 22" is case interior width? or depth?

A: The 22" dimension would be the wide from front to back of a open case if the length of the 42" was going side to side. 15" is the depth counting both halves of the case.

[30x 3-Prong] The good thing about being old is that you have collected a whole bunch of stuff I have several hundred CDs which I packed up and put away. My audio system was set up for streaming. This transport definitely enhanced my listening choices. It works seamlessly with my system. The sound quality is excellent and I can enjoy listening to CDs that have significant memories for me.

[30] I listened to CD music for decades on what I thought were good players, but buying this transport and plugging it into my DAC has changed my view completely.

CDs (before the advent of digital music files) were always a nice portable medium with good sound quality. It was nice to get rid of the handling and storage issues of LPs, but deep down, LPs still sounded better.

Now, with the Audiolab transport, I can enjoy listening to CD music as much as I have ever enjoyed listening to LPs.

All of the music is there! It was getting lost in the 0s and 1s, somewhere, but this transport has magically found them. I will never look back, and never think of CD music the same.

This is a quality piece of equipment available at a price comparable to much inferior equipment.

Buy it!

[4] The speakers are strong enough to handle light vocals, keyboards and a drum machine/bass mix. I use two units to take advantage of the stereo functionality this allows. The portability is great. I have a 130 Watt-Hour battery that can run both units for 2+ hours so I can take them anywhere. Its nice having channel-volume and EQ knobs easily accessible on the front of the units. The speakers are very responsive to modest changes in bass/treble settings. So far I haven't had to use maximum volume settings - the speakers seem very efficient. I would recommend two.

[30] Well made Lots of input options Excellent portability Excellent sound from a small unit I am using this to provide sound from a DVD/VGA projector for presentations to a small group. Internal speakers don't cut it but this unit does. It provide the added flexability of adding a Mic. and other inputs.

[30x 3-Prong] High quality, as would be expected from a Roland amp/speaker. Versatile in that it can accept a variety of different types of input sources simultaneously, and mixed together as desired. Will likely buy a second in the future to double the amplification power and make use of their stereo capabilities. Less than 15 lbs, so very easy to transport.

[30x 3-Prong] We use the CM-30 as sound reinforcement in smaller spaces for microphones, MP3s and laptops. It's a great portable companion for a projector, making a complete presentation set. We also pair them to create a portable sound system which can have discrete left and right channels, if needed. Very versatile, and light weight for 30 watts of output. I recommend them hightly.

[30] This is just what I was looking for.
This is not a CD player
It is a CD transport
It is as good as the DAC you run it through
The sound is clear, detailed and dynamic and any color to the digital recording comes from your DAC.
I am extremely happy with this player. I have only had it a few weeks so no review on long term reliability. It seems extremely well made and I like the slot disc input rather than a tray.
I think it is a great value.
