A: Sorry for the delay. This went through several stops while we were on tour. We bought this adapter to be able to use an older, longer throw lens on a newer hi def camera. It was a canon lens from a Sony camera replacing a fuji lens on a JVC camera. I don't know your cameras or lens but this definitely worked for us.

A: No, this version is not electronic.

Q: 3. Will adaptor fit on red cam and not hit sensor?

A: no this adapter will not work on red cameras

A: It sure will.

Q: 5. Will this be compatible with the new black magic pocket cinema camera 4K. How does it perform?

A: The Pocket Cinema Camera 4K has an MFT mount. This adapter should work well to allow you to put PL lenses on the Pocket Cinema Camera 4K.

Q: 6. Plan to purchase this MTF mount adaptor on my Sony PXW FS5 with the Canon HJ11ex4.7B lens, any advise of how's the quality ? and is there any other cheaper lens mount option in the market ?

A: MTF Services Ltd quality is a world standard and nothing is better made. The quality is commensurate to it's price and it will be the best long term solution for you. This adapter will allow most if not all of the zoom range of B4 2/3 lenses when used on a Sony FS5 in 2k (crop) mode. Note: you will lose 0.8 stop of light. The only other option, the FotodioX Pro Lens Mount Adapter B4 to Sony E Mount, while much cheaper, does not have a lens to expand the image. Thus the B4 lenses only work at the telephoto end with the 2X doubler engaged. Even then, they have unusable wide angle images. This is all due to the fact the B4 lenses are designed for much smaller sensors than what the FS5 has.

Q: 7. With the built-in 2x extender engaged, will it cover a S35 sensor (Alexa)?

A: Yes it will, this covers a Super 35mm with a lens that has a 2x extender engaged.

Q: 8. Will this also work with fujinon HD lenses?

A: I only own Canon HD lenses and it definitely works on those. I can't confirm that it works on a Fujinon lens, but those are usually universal in power, a Fujinon and a Canon lens would work on any camera with standard power so i can't image it not working... i just can't say that i have used one with this adaptor.

Q: 9. Does it works for a sony FX3 camera with CP3 lenses?

A: The MTF Services Ltd PL to Sony E Lens Mount Adapter (B&H # MTMTPLSEM) is not for the FX3. It works with the Sony NEX-3, the NEX-5, the NEX-VG10, and the NEX-FS100 cameras. However, the following Metabones adapter would work with the Sony FX3: the Metabones ARRI PL Lens to Sony E-mount Camera T Adapter (Black), B&H # MEMBPLEBT2.

Q: 10. Will this work on my Blackmagic Ursa 4k?What if my lens does not have 2x extender?

A: Hi Ricardo, if your black magic as PL mount you sould be able to mount B4 Lens but need to use extender on it only on 2K.Need to have extender on B4 Lens if not you will have vignette. Cheers.Pascal.

[0.1 lb] Now owning the Sony FS7 I am using some PL glass from my F55 and this was highly recommended by a friend. He was right, it is very well built, positive action. And I like the blue which sends me right to the lens lock when I am changing glass.If you need a PL to E, look no further. And if you buy cheaper that is what you will get, cheaper and it will move around and not fit right which will throw off the back focus. 5

[15.5" (40 cm)] It fit perfect and worked great. I put it on a 1/3 JVC camera and installed a 17X Fujinon 2/3 lens and it worked great. 5

[0.1 lb] The Fujinon MK lenses are amazing, but the biggest limiting factor is that you can only mount them on an E mount cam such as the FS7, etc. I picked up a Pocket4k more recently, and it's great to be able to still use my fujinon glass on a the smaller camera for certain shoots. 5

[15.5" (40 cm)] The build quality is excellent. Set ready and tough. To my surprise when I mounted both the 25mm and 35mm Red Pro Primes (Pl) you see the lens barrel making them unusable. The RPP 50mm, 85mm, and 100mm all look fantastic. Have not tried other wide angle PL lenses yet. May be fine with Zeiss as the Red 25 and 35 are both beasts of a lens 5

[0.1 lb] The dtap fits very snugly in the receptor. I have a nice Canon lens and it powers everything with no problem. I use it to power the lens I use on my Sony EX3. 5
