The AKG CS3 CU Chairman Microphone Station with 50cm Gooseneck is designed for fixed and mobile conference applications. The CS3 CU chairman unit is a basic microphone unit for the CS3 system with 2 operating modes. In Priority Call mode, the user can manually mute all connected delegate stations. In the Next in Line mode, the CS3 CU automatically activates the next delegate station in the waiting list. The station offers a Speak Button, a Priority Button, an Approve Button a built-in speaker and 2 x 3.5mm stereo jacks to connect headphones for up to 2 delegates, as well as a connector to other microphone units.

The CS3 CU Chairman Microphone Station comes with a robust interface connector, which makes it easy to interchange the station's microphone. The included detachable microphone features a CS521 cardioid condenser capsule on a 50cm long gooseneck. A 2m long Plug & Play connector cable is also included.

The CS3 CU can approve the speaking request from the CS3 DU unit (sold separately). The maximum number of active microphones, conference modes, and connection position of the CS3 CU unit are not limited. Moreover, it also has the privilege of muting all other delegate units in the CS3 system.

A: The AKG C417 is not compatible with the Audio Technica power supplies. In order to power this mic with phantom or battery, the AKG MPAVL adapter is necessary which converts to standard XLR. This will then allow you to connect to a phantom power supply.

A: Our stage is 28 feet deep by 40 feet wide. We use 3 floors mics.

A: This mic will work with the PT40 Mini Body back in the SR40 MINI Pro. It would be a great option as a hairline mic.

[2.2 lb (1.0 kg)] This is very easy to use, easy to install, looks great, and functions flawlessly. I wondered at first if the red light would be distracting, but it looks quite natural and isn't too bright at all. 5

[50 Hz to 20 kHz] I play in a Bluegrass band - we use two C3000s for lead and harmony vocals at our regular gig. We get great reproduction and gain before feedback on stage. And B&H had the best price and cheapest shipping online! 5

[3 W] I bought 2 of these to test & potentially replace 4 beyerdynamic MPC 66 boundary mics. The problem with the MPC 66 is they were picking up alot of excess humm in the room from HVAC and other noises. The 'professional' audio installers claimed no improvement could be made. I went out on a gamble in search of the best boundary mic to replace it and decided on these. These are AMAZING! They blew the other mics out of the water. No hummm, no HVAC pickup. Clean voice. These work better than expected and would purchase again. 5

[2 W] The C3000 is my main mic, I use it on acustic instruments as Classical, Acustic and Portuguese Guitar,and also on Vocals and as a room mic. It sounds closer to what you hear in the room then any other mic, with a smooth top end to help you to get warm vocals. 5

[50 Hz to 20 kHz] I bought the AKG C3000 primarily because I was looking for a decent condenser microphone, form a reputable manufacturer, within budget. I never expected a magnificent sound from this mic. But my expectations were surpassed considering the sound derived form the C3000. To begin with, this mic is solidly built in Vienna, Austria and looks elegant in black metallic finish. I use it with m101 preamp and the sound is clear and upfront. Given the price, it delivers a well defined sound. I am pleased! 5
