Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Will this adapter work with a countryman flute mice to a Rode Xl-XLR wireless system?

A: Hi Robert. Our assembly features bridged pins 3 and 4 on the XLR end, pins 1 and 2 are wired straight thru- I'm unsure of the pinouts that your equipment requires, but if it requires bridged pins 3 and 4 on the XLR connector then you should be good using this as an adapter. Thank you!

Q: 2. How long is the 4 pin xlr cable, and is it permanently attached to the power brick?

A: The cable is soldiered in and around 5 feet long.

Q: 3. Hey, will this work for using a Shure Twinplex TL47 with a sennheiser wireless system?

A: The TecNec TA4M-MPS-1.5 4-Pin Mini XLR Male to 3.5mm Stereo Cable (18") BH #TETA4MMPS1.5 should work well with the components you have listed.

Q: 4. will this cable work with Lectrosonic 5 pin female mini-XLR?

A: No. Please contact us for assistance to find the correct cable for your application. We will need to know what devices you will be using the cable to connect. You can reach us by phone at 800-606-6969 or 212-444-6615, or contact us through live chat on our website and we will be happy to help you.

Q: 5. Will this filter RFI from the output of my mixer? If used at the amp?

A: Yes it should filter

Q: 6. I'd like to use a Shure WL183 mic, with a Sennheiser SK100 body pack. Will this cable do the job?

A: I'm afraid not.

Q: 7. Is there cheaper options?

A: Unfortunately, the Litepanels Anton Bauer D-Tap to 3-Pin XLR Cable is our least expensive option in this type of cable.

Q: 8. Can this be used to connect Audio-Technica BP892cW-TH condenser mic to a computer?

A: Good Morning Tai-ping. From what I am finding, that mic uses a 4-pin Hirose connector, not a 4-pin XLR male, so this cable will not mate properly. We unfortunately don't offer any assemblies with 4-pin Hirose connectors. The computer also likely wouldn't provide power to the mic that it requires (and receives from a beltpack transmitter). Thank you!

Q: 9. Couple of questions: Is the device itself providing phantom power or is it actually just passing power from the camera through to the mic? 2) Are the output cables the same as the Arri Alexa Mini? If so, couldn't this work on other cameras that have that connection like the Z Cams?

A: This is specifically for the RED Range camera. The RED Ranger will provide phantom power to the RED DIGITAL CINEMA DSMC3 5-Pin to Dual XLR 3-Pin Adapter. It would not be compatible with other camera models.

Q: 10. Does this work with Tentacle Sync TRACK E ( BH #TETRACKE )?

A: It is recommended to use Locking 3.5mm TRS cables with the Tentacle TRACK E.

[0.225 lb] This cable is great quality and built very well. It’s perfect for a shotgun mic attached to a camcorder or cinema camera with xlr inputs close to the mount. The coil makes it very easy to keep your set up neat and functional. Yes to this short pro grade cable!

[6.8 x 4.95 x 1"] As long as you know soldering, this is a good buy.. My recorder setup became much smaller now, thanks to the low profile connectors..

[0.225 lb] I mount the NTG 4+ to a Rode Mount on the from pod of the XF605
as an alternative to the supplied Canon Shotgun mount ( Because )
the Canon mount is semi permanent and sticks out to far too the side and prevents it from fitting in many bags. As an added Bonus there Rode Mount has much better Suspension

[0.225 lb] Using this engineering marvel on broadcast handheld cameras eliminates the dreaded 10 foot “that’s the shortest one this truck has” xlr cable foisted upon an innocent camera operator by an uncaring A2. The low profile connectors are adjustable with the included Allen wrench. The coiled jumper stays in place and out of the way. Please enjoy.

[Gold] This is my third low profile cable from Cable Techniques, this one for my Rycote pistol grip. The first was for my MixPre 6,  the second for my FS5. These are the result of my possibly unnecessary nervousness over the length of a regular XLR connection and its leverage: I just dont like that extra length sticking out waiting for me to snag, which in my mind is sure to happen.  They dont affect the signal and I feel better. One bonus of having three is I now have three of the tiny allen keys needed to adjust the connector angle, because, of course, Im afraid of losing one when I really need it.

[Black] My experience with all Cable Techniques audio cables has been positive. This one is no different. Some have noted that it's a bit short...which it is, but only you can decide whether it will work in your kit. Compact, high quality, flexibility...all the things you want, nothing you don't.

[Gold] Low profile cables will always be a sound mixer’s dream. The cable that comes with it is thinner then the usual XLR cable but seems strong. I’ve only used it on a 4 day shoot but think it’ll last a long time.
