The front panel displays nine different UPS vitals: input voltage level, output voltage level, battery capacity, runtime estimate, load capacity, normal mode, battery mode, overload, and silent mode

Shielding against electromagnetic interference and radio frequency signals helps prevent line noise ("humming") over telephone lines or audio systems

Widely-spaced outlets help accommodate large transformer-based plugs without compromising the utility of other outlets

HID compliant USB port enables full integration with built-in power management and auto shutdown features of Windows, Linux, and Mac OS

Distinctive tones help identify when the unit is running on battery power, if it is overloaded, or when the battery is low

The user may use this unit reset switch in case of an overload

In event of a power outage, PowerPanel PE saves open files and "hibernates" the PC to increase the run-time on the UPS unit. PowerPanel is easily installed on any Windows-based PC and uses minimal system resources. Diagnostic screens display the status of the UPS, including silent operation mode, configurable system notifications, automatic self tests, adjustable high/low voltage warnings, event/data logging, and scheduled shutdowns

CyberPower will assist users with any product, installation, or warranty concerns - free of charge

Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. What is the battery life after power is disconnected?

A: There is no simple answer to that question, as it depends on what the load is. It could be 30 minutes or it could be 5 minutes. A small, low power computer with the monitor not on battery might last 30-40 minutes, where a PC with a large power supply, high power video card, 4 hard drives, and three 27 monitors all connected to battery will go pretty fast. If you know the actual power requirements of your connected gear, you can approximate with your own math. If unsure, get a bigger unit.

Q: 2. Does this have the coaxial protection as pictured? The specs say nothing about that, and the model on the manufacturer website is slightly different, without the coaxial in/out.

A: Yes, this model does offer coaxial protection.

Q: 3. I have 220V, so is a different versin available? Or do you need a transformer

A: This unit doesn't support 220V and we don't have a transformer that will work with this UPS.

Q: 4. Is there a distance requirement between the ups and monitor?

A: Thank you everyone for your prompt replies! You have been very helpful.:-)

Q: 5. How accurate is the simulated sine wave?

A: The BRG1500AVRLCD has preformed and been tested to meet the technical specifications of the UPS. So it is preforming how the UPS was designed. There are two different types of UPS battery output: Sinewave and Simulated Sinewave. The difference between the two is the output wave form, if you need a pure sinewave UPS i would suggest the CP1500PFCLCD.

Q: 6. How often does the battery need to be replaced?

A: Cyberpower does not provide that information as it can vary. UPS batteries require replacement when no longer capable and if the UPS is called upon more often than normal to keep devices powered, the battery will be spent faster.

Q: 7. My ups shuts down randomly and other brand UPSs do not shut down. Is this a sign that I need to replace the battery?

A: I sent an email to Cyberpower Tech Support and very quickly received a call. We were able to determine that the battery is not charging and so do to its age, plus i had already replaced the battery previously, I have decided to replace the unit. Thanks for the quick response. I was impressed.

Q: 8. Can this unit be plugged into a power strip? I am running out of wall outlets, and need to plug another UPS into a wall outlet.

A: You should not connect a UPS into a Surge protector power strip, it may not work as intended.

Q: 9. My child keeps pushing all the buttons below my desk. How easy is it to shut this thing down? Is it one click or there is a hold time before it shuts? Thank you.

A: It takes a single push of the button to shut it down.

Q: 10. How often does the battery need to be replaced? ?

A: That will depend on how much you use the battery. With normal use, most likely 3-5 years but it could be sooner than that if you used the battery more frequently.

[RB1270B] This was a replacement for another/aging UPS unit by another vendor. Very happy with the performance and overall operation. This is my third CyberPower 1000 unit running at the home office and the two other/older UPS units still work great (I test them periodically to make sure the batteries are still strong enough). Not the cheapest UPS on the market but it does exactly what it needs to (reliably and well).

[8 Hours] Where we live we get power bumps and outages about 2-3 times a month. My husband seen this in a magazine and urged me to buy it. Every time the power goes out I have to re-boot my computer. I hate having to do this. So I bought one to try. I am so glad I did. After having it about a week, we had a power outage. My computer stayed operational and I didn't have to re-boot. Hurray! I would recommend this to everyone!

[6' / 1.8 m] I say so far because i have not lost power yet to test battery backup, but seems to be functioning as it should for power and surge protection. It has plenty of power for computer, monitor, printer, modem to remain on for 300 minutes if I read the display correctly. I like the power stabilization especially if I have to go to generator power during a hurricane or other outage

[Lead-Acid] If you have a Server the software that Cyberpower provides will work to provide a graceful shutdown. Bought a similar product by APC and found out that they no longer support Server shutdowns. Installed this on 2019 Server STD edition.

[340 W] Definitely look at this product if you are looking for a good UPS for your desktop system, especially a Macintosh. I looked at APC units and this one meets or exceeds their specs. Also, you get an actual display of its performance! The included monitoring software leaves a little to be desired, but it does work on macOS, something APC refuses to do! For the money, you can't do better!

[120 VAC ] Have this unit hooked up to a Ma ini, 2.5 external raid 1 setup, and Netgear router as a personal cloud server. The unit gives my Ma ini and external drive enough time to automatically shutdown, using the included USB cable & power management in Mavericks. I have also noticed this battery pack acts as a great voltage filter/buffer. My commercial complex seems to knock drives offline from voltage spikes and with this new battery pack I have yet to have my external drive pop offline. Biggest con is the unit right out of the box smells pretty nasty like an electrical melted wire smell. The day I opened the box is smelled really bad, this is with the unit off and in the BH box. Plugged it in and the smell dissipated but I'm guessing the smell must be some of the chemicals from the battery and/or plastic(s) of the product. My wife thought something was burning when I opened the box.

[13 Minutes] I use this to provide backup power for my satellite internet, wireless router and VOIP phone system. Occasionally, it also powers my laptop and external LCD. Works great and has more than ample reserves. Functions out of the box with Apple Macs and seemlessly integrates with Energy Saver in OS X via the included USB cable. No Cons so far.

[Lead-Acid] I'm using this is a cabinet that contains a router, NAS, and raspberry pi. Those devices are plugged into the battery backup side. The surge only outlets are being used for a variety of usb chargers (phones, tablets, etc). I was able to get everything plugged in, but I do wish the outlets were spaced just a little farther apart given the size of some transformers. It's definitely a hefty unit. Overall, I'm very happy with it.
