The Logickeyboard Studio One Mac ASTRA 2 Wired Keyboardfeatures an elegant, black keyboard with low-profile scissor-switch keys for a light, yet responsive feel. With five selectable light levels, the ASTRA 2 is the perfect choice for any lighting conditions. The keyboard features a USB 3.0 hub to enable you to connect a mouse, phone, contour shuttle, or a USB dongle.

The ASTRA 2 keyboard is developed with two USB cables; a gray one for the keyboard itself, and a black one for the USB hub to avoid problems with installations that require a KVM extender.

In addition, the ASTRA 2 has a full-sized F-row and multimedia keys to provide full control and effectiveness. To power the keyboard, you need to plug in the gray USB connector. If you need to activate the USB hub on the back of the keyboard, plug in the black USB connector.

The Studio One dedicated Logickeyboard also features all the regular letters, numbers, and symbol labelling that you will find on a conventional keyboard, it can simply be used as a substitute for it. The keyboard is easy to plug in and requires no software installation.

[Scissor] This backlighted keyboard is what I have always wanted in my years editing in dark suites! The keyboard is not lightweight and stays where you put it. It has helped me tremendously in my switch to DaVinci Resolve faster than a "cheat sheet".

While I understand that using USB type A connections is probably the most universal thing in an era of changing technology, I am a bit perplexed by it having a USB2 and a USB3 plug in one cable versus one USB3 and an internal hub in the keyboard? All in all, the cable is sturdy and should last for years of hard work. Since I already have the Blackmagic Speed Editor, this keyboard seems like a more logical choice than the BM for the dedicated keys and of course I have a Jog wheel and additional buttons for editing.

It looks great sitting on the desk and lends itself to the professional image that I want to project to my clients.

[Scissor] This is a keyboard as solid as a rock and each key is solid as a rock with just the right tactical response. Is top quality including the USB cable. It is backlit just right and has some weight to it so it does not move around once you position it where you want it and the leg angle is built in so none of that sloppy leg collapse on cheap keyboards. I have not used it yet with Davinci Resolve but the keys are very easy to read and the colors and graphics are baked into the key so it looks like it will stay without wear for a long time to come. Honestly I would use this keyboard even if I did not have plans to use it with Davinci.

[Scissor] I've only owned a few dedicated Avid Keyboards myself but I've used all shapes and sizes working almost solidly on rented systems since Avid arrived. I used Lightworks first.
This the best keyboard I've used and I'm really happy to have found it.

[Graphite Gray] The larger letters and numbers COUPLED WITH the backlit lighting was exactly what I was looking for when it comes to visually impaired. Plus, the price was cheaper that other sites. B&H is honest, reliable and at the right price!
