Q: 1. can i use the tp link deco system to extend this or does deco have it's own router?

A: The TP-Link Archer AXE75 AX5400 Wireless Tri-Band Gigabit Router, B&H # TPARCHRAXE75, is not compatible with TP-Link Deco Mesh devices. If you have a TP Link Deco Mesh system, you can use other TP-Link Deco Mesh products to extend the range of that mesh network. The TP-Link Archer AXE75 does support TP-Link OneMesh so you could extend its range as a mesh network using other devices that support TP-Link OneMesh.

Q: 2. What is the max throughput with both DPI and IPS turned on?

A: TP-Link has not provided detailed benchmarks on the ER7206 Omada Gigabit VPN Router's throughput under all possible conditions. User reports on TP-Link's forums may be a better resource for this type of information.

Q: 3. Does it have a Embedded Omada SDN Controller as does the ER7212PC?

A: The TP-Link ER7206 Omada Gigabit VPN Router supports Omada SDN, but it does not have a built-in Omada controller.

Q: 4. Does it support VLANs?

A: Yes, this TP-Link ER605 V2 Omada Gigabit VPN Router does support VLAN. https://www.tp-link.com/us/business-networking/omada-sdn-router/er605/#specifications

Q: 5. Can this be used as a standalone VPN device or do you have to have the controller device?

A: The TP-Link ER605 V2 Omada Gigabit VPN Router can be used with a variety of VPN software.

    Q: 6. Will this negotiate a 2.5gbe sfp+ transciever?

A: Yes, the Omada VPN Router with 10G Ports will be able to handle up to two 10GBe transceivers.

Q: 7. Will this router work in Canada for Canadian customers?

A: Yes it will work in Canada for Canadian customers.

Q: 8. I would like to ask about the version number "v1.0" , "v1.60"of this product

Q: 9. Which x.x version (or versions) of this AX21(US) router are you currently selling?

A: This is version 4 of the TP-Link Archer AX21 AX1800 Wireless Dual-Band Gigabit Router.

    Q: 10. Does it support Wake-On-LAN?

[128 MB] I was looking for an Omada router that supported 2gb internet speeds. This product does the trick! No issues upgrading from the 605 router. Internet has been solid at 2gb.

[512 MB] Bought one of the first ones available. Only had one issue, DHCP assignment, which a firmware upgrade from the original version 1.0 fixed. Been very reliable since and very happy with it. I used to use Cisco RV320 until they were no longer available. Found this a good replacement. Buying my second one at the time of writing this review.

[MAC Filtering] TP-Link ER605 V2 Omada Gigabit VPN Router was easy to set up (using it as a standalone router) and basically started working once powered on. The boot cycle is a bit slow (~2-3 mins), but once active there are no issues with all the network devices connected to it.

The 4 ports are sufficient for setting up 4 different networks and the streaming devices seem to be more stable (less buffering, more responsive) than before. I should have bought this router years ago.

[2.94 lb] Needed to replace a wireless router with this router. Love the smaller footprint as it adds room in my network box.

    [12 x 8.9 x 2.8"] I've been waiting for an affordable rack-mount 10Gbps router from a reputable company, and it's finally here!

I'm using this router for a 10Gbps internet connection. I'm getting around 8200 Mbps throughput, which is around the same as what I get if I connect my PC directly to my ONT. Unlike some other competing products, TP-Link's hardware is sufficient to actually handle these fast speeds.

My internet provider (Sonic) use copper 10GBase-T (standard Ethernet cables) for their ONT, so I'm using a Wiitek SFP-10G-T module in the WAN SFP+ port. The other SFP+ port goes to a MikroTik CRS312-4C+8XG 10Gbps switch that my devices are plugged in to.

I haven't tested many of the built-in features yet, including the Omada controller. I don't really need any fancy features - I was upgrading from a basic consumer-grade wifi router, so honestly any router would have been fine for me. You don't have to use an Omada controller, especially if you just have one TP-Link device to administer, as the router has a decent web UI built-in.

One of the main downsides of this router is that the eight Ethernet ports are only Gigabit. I really wish TP-Link would have at least made these 2.5Gbps ports. I guess they had to limit them to Gigabit to reach their $350 price point, but I would have been happy to pay a bit more to get 2.5Gbps. Having said that, Gigabit is still plenty of bandwidth for many devices, and you still get the full throughput across all the ports (each one can be concurrently downloading at 1Gbps, using ~8Gbps upstream bandwidth). If you want to get 2.5Gbps or 10Gbps on downstream devices, I'd recommend also buying a 2.5Gbps or 10Gbps switch that has an 10Gbps SFP+ uplink, and connect it to the SFP+ LAN port on the ER8411 via a DAC cable.

[Passive] This TP-Link ER7206 router was purchased to replace an ancient D-Link DGL-4100 router that still worked but which no longer maintained full throughput and which didn't support IPv6. Both of these routers have built-in 4-port Ethernet switches.

When it comes to Ethernet routers, my needs are quite simple and the ER7206 meets those needs perfectly. So far it seems to be performing flawlessly.

The router is being fed by a cable modem (550 Mbps downstream and 22 Mbps upstream) and has a computer, color laser printer, smart TV, and Wi-Fi Access Point (AP) connected to it. The AP has a built-in 4-port switch to which a Blu-ray Disc player is connected.

The router was directly connected to a computer for setup purposes and the process was straightforward. I did update the firmware, which is always a good idea since some fixes may be security related.

If your needs are as simplistic as mine, then I highly recommend that you consider this product.

[Passive] I wanted an inexpensive non-WiFi router to terminate my cable modem's Internet output. This is a nicely-constructed, small device that is working great for me. Initially, I had a problem with the router establishing a connection with my Internet provider's network, but TP-Link's support was immediately available and was very good in helping me resolve it.

[128 MB] If you want to eliminate the impact of the Electromagnetic frequency from WIFI on your body, this is a reliable product for hooking up multiple devices to ethernet. Make sure to buy a long cable to extend the ethernet connection to the other areas of your work area. I highly recommend this device You'll feel healthier not being surrounded by the EMF.
